The Worst Hermes Color EVER!?

This is such a fun thread! Totally agree that it's all a matter of taste, and one's trash is another's treasure.

The popular colour that sets my teeth on edge is anemone. Also don't like etoupe, etain, crevette or bleu jean.

Among recent colours it has to be bronze dore. I didn't like it when I first saw the swatch. And still don't like it when I see it in big bags.

Haha. I have both. Just acquired Lime B25 in Sep and Etoupe B25 in December and I think they are hands down 2 of my favorite bags ever. I guess that's why Hermes is so popular! What one person hates, the next loves and considers their "Holy Grail"!

Exactly, it’s such a personal thing, I’m sure others hate my fav colors...

Same here about anemone: no thank you! Hate it.

I also really dislike VC, although I like other light colors, and love darker green shades. Dunno why it puts me off so bad.

I have to agree with this. I thought I would love vert criquet but it is not as pastel, minty green as it appears in some photos/videos. I do not hate many colors...but I actually hated this color in person

I can not make crevette or vert criquet work for me. Interestingly enough, both colors look great on my mother!

I wouldn’t say it’s the absolute worst and love by many as it’s also one of the classic neutrals but I also have to voice my dislike for etoupe sadly. Whenever I see it, it reminds me when the snow is melting and it becomes that dirt slush when it mixed with snow and mud. Sorry

I have to agree that most Hermès colors really do work with the right outfit or èlan, and there is always a customer to be found for any given color. With that said, I'm not a fan of Crevette (looks much better in photos than what I've seen in person, which was fluorescent, so that might depend on the leather) and - shudder! - Origan.

Hmm, my least favorite colors are:
Blue Jean
Etoupe
Ebene
Not totally a fan of Rose Sakura or Rose Pourpre either.

(My fave H leather colors are Gold and Rouge H though, and I know that Rouge H can be controversial! I adore it and most everything in that general color family!)

It is fascinating to me how polarizing Etoupe seems to be. I wouldn't have guessed that a neutral would be so loved/hated. But, since the H chameleon/undertones are so vivid I guess that even neutrals tap into our color emotions.

(Personally I love Etoupe but maybe that's partially because my only Etoupe bag was road-tested in the most challenging way and came out like a champ.)
