M used to wear a weave but I think switched to wigs now most of time- it looks different. Not better but different.

Anyway, I agree, it’s very much in the Britney model of profiting from mental illness and addiction with the added schadenfreude that all the media people used to get misty eyed for how they used to just love little Brit but will mention what a horrible person Wendy has always been when they basically do same thing for a job.

But why is the family not in charge of Wendy?
Was there financial abuse from all her family members?
Iirc, she has a lovely sister and niece who are more than capable to handle Wendy’s affair with love and fairness.
Strange, strange, strange.
I am convinced that Wendy lost her mind because of the many psychological shocks she endured one after the other.
Part of it is addiction but a broken heart will do that to people.

that is my guess/question too and i would not be surprised! i have seen people mention the niece too but i guess that was not possible.

I don't wish this on anyone. We heard that a member of DH's family (and her fiance) are being cared for due to dementia caused by alcoholism. We have been estranged from this person for years - heard it from her sister. We didn't even know they were heavy drinkers but I guess it's a thing.

I was just coming to post this. This documentary is starting to look very exploitative now. I mean there’s a small chance it’s actually a sensitive study of the toll of dementia and the increasing struggle to communicate with others when your whole career has been centred on charisma and the gift of the gab … but I won’t be looking for it now unless I hear some very positive things.
