Hi Lovely ladies!
I was under the weather feeling like a truck ran over me.I seemed to have missed so much. So, I wanted to say Hi and say that I got the size 40 sent to me and it really is perfect. It is Asphalte too, I was wondering since the other label said "coffee brown".
It is much more comfortable in the shoulders and I can zip it. I figure, now that is is slightly cold here, I do like to have the option. Maybe if I get a spring version, I'll get the 38 and not zip it.
Here's a few shots...Sorry for the blurry pics taken on my Blackberry:smile1:

It looks so good on you. Congratulations.

Hi , chloebagfreakthank you for all your tried and tested tips.
Will for sure try each one and see which best works for me, again, thanks for all your help!!!!
I think I haven't had a goodnite's sleep since I had my first baby.
It's comforting to find people in the same predicament, makes me feel less lonely at night knowing at least one FAB lady in the forum is also awake at night with me somewhere in the world...:smile1:

Thank you for your sweet comments, so very kind of you to say this.:smile1:

You look so beautiful with your jacket!! I love that.
As far as the sleeping stuff..I am going thru peri- menopause so I wake up each night and sometimes can't go back to sleep.

Here is what works for me:
Peppermint tea and Camomile tea before bedtime,or
Calcium, magnesium pill before bedtime.
Then if I can't go back to sleep at three or four a.m. I take a quarter of a children's Benadryl and that usually does the trick ( a chemical, but not addictive):D
Hope that helps sweetie, its awful to not sleep well.

P and meg... Both of you look amazing! Meg, that blue dress is wonderful, I love dresses like that! And powder blue must be my favouritest colour in the world.

Thank you to all the ladies for the kind words on my Paris encounter! Some men are just horrid. Funny thing is, right at the start, he was the one who insisted we get separate rooms before I even said anything. I'm glad I'm done with this experience! I'm off to Bangkok this Saturday for my actual romantic holiday (with a much nicer man), though unfortunately, it's not moto weather there. But I have two gorgeous silk maxi dresses prepared!

BTW, has anyone ever had colour transfer issues between moto and bag? I carried Rose Thulian with my black moto and I have black transfer on the shoulder strap. Does this mean I can only use my black bag with my moto?

chloe, that moto was made for you! You look so happy wearing it too. A match made in heaven!

As for sleeping, one thing that I know works for most people is reading. Esp something boring. LOL. Personally, I still my mind by doing a little chant to myself "I am peace, I am love, I am happiness", and repeat these words to myself in my mind until I fall asleep, which is usually a few mins. It was a habit I started when I was in a turbulent relationship previously, and a friend taught me to do this. Not only does it help set a mental trigger for me to sleep, it also helps keep my mind and body healthy a la The Secret.

Thank you for your kind words! I hope one of those things helps. I guess we could text each other:D. I actually will put the TV on with something boring and then my thoughts will stop. I guess you can bore yourself to sleep.

I do have my little pups next to me- my Chihuahua is more snuggly than my Yorkie:)

Sweetie, I'm sorry I missed the drama! I hope your trip was OK. I will have to go back and read all the pages.
Thanks for the compliment on the jacket. I really love it and have wanted one for years!
Your suggestion is really interesting for sleep and I will definitely try it. I bet it helps with wrinkles too:D

Hello ladies! I'm in the process of still trying to get the attic/granny smell out of my havana !

I have damp wiped her down, aired her out, febreezed lining and now today wiped down again with woolite hand wash delicate suds.
The leather dryed down fine.

I literally am
Considering putting into the washer and use "hand wash" cycle on jacket. Air dry.

What are your thoughts on this?
The leather is fine and glorious after sponge wash.

Am I crazy? Will the lining fall apart ?

I kinda like the idea of washed leather jacket.

I'm not going to send to cleaners as they may ruin her! Lol! Hopefully I don't ruin her.

Hello,
I know I'm batty since I considered a complete dye job for a moto and was told not to go there. Feel free to take my advice as a grain of salt. I recently got caught in a horrible rain storm without my umbrella in my moto (higgins I believe). When it dried the waterstains were so ugly to look at, covered the whole upper part of jacket. I threw the thing in the washer (knowing that all the lovely ladies here would kill me if they saw me). I let it air dry and you cannot tell a thing. I just put it on the last rinse cycle and then spin. Hung it on a dress making dummy to dry. I have to admit it needs a serious moisurizing session but the color has not changed. It seems stiffer but I will moisturize. I did not tackle smell issues so I cannot say it will eliminate odors.

Have you considered putting it in a plastic box and covering it in baking soda? Should help with odors without subjecting it to water and all other kinds of witchcraft.

So, Lisa, are you going to cave and get a thin quilted? What size fitted you best in these? And what did you make of the smooth leather?

I do want one but will wait to see if they go in the sales next spring, the khaki and black was lovely. The smooth leather was different but gorgeous. The 38 and 40 were both a nice fit, my first choice would be the 38 but I could live with a 40.

, clearer in full mod pic.

Aww, thanks PBDB. I am changing it up just a bit this Fall. DH is thrilled too, lol. I think when I dress up he feels like he needs to as well and he usually does. This was yesterdays casual look.

You are all making those jackets look so good. You really know how to bring them to life.

Sole: I did wash her yesterday, 1 day air dry so far, I did tumble her in the dryer a bit--not a lot of heat (since the spin cycle didnt get as much water out as I wanted).
She is mostly dry now, still damp under the arms and collar, I can say that she really has not changed much. Size is still the same, lining held it's own.
I will test Leather Honey and apply if necessary (just ordered this online for jackets and bags)

In my defense: for craziness that is, I ran across a posting this year for some groups that washed RO leather jackets and other such expensive items found at thrift stores and such, with pretty good results.

When she is completetly dry I will post before and after pics.
Havana is a distressed wrinkly leather, I would never do this on my Navy or Margaux, but I like the results so far. The leather still smells different than my other two motos, but like I said earlier, I am a super sniffer/sensitive nose. Prob. cuz shes still damp.
My problem was with my washing machine, it didnt spin out enough water (to help drying process)

I know you all think I am NUTS! But this also confirms to me what a quality garment this, and how well made this product is!
BALENCIAGA ROCKS!
