Aww, thanks PBDB. I am changing it up just a bit this Fall. DH is thrilled too, lol. I think when I dress up he feels like he needs to as well and he usually does. This was yesterdays casual look.

Love this!! So cool laid-back chic and fresh!!

My DH is the opposite, he loves to dress down especially during weekends, so I feel like I have to dress down as casually as he does. But sometimes, I just do what I want re: Wear what I want.

Remember this season runs a bit large too. You could probably size down to a 38, unless you wanted the extra room to layer.

Completely agree with this.
Don't RISK it.
Lock your jacket in an airtight container with an odor absorbing packet and after a week, you notice a big difference.
I did this with something but forgot what item exactly and it worked, no more odor of any kind. Maybe it was a bag....

I wouldn't risk it.

Be patient. Put the jacket into a container with some odour removing stuff. Vanilla essence is great for removing smells too (put a bit on to a cotton pad, into a glass, into a sealed container with the jacket, leave for a few days, then refresh the vanilla ... just make sure the vanilla doesn't touch the jacket).

I once had a large bag that came to me reeking of smoke. It took a few weeks of trying various things but eventually I managed to completely get rid of the smell. Airing by itself would have never achieved this (tried that first). Your havana looks absolutely gorgeous. It's worth persisting and I am sure you will be able to get rid of the smell eventually using the above methods.

There are a few threads on tpf about removing smells from bags. You could do a search to get some more info and ideas.

Hello ladies! I'm in the process of still trying to get the attic/granny smell out of my havana !

I have damp wiped her down, aired her out, febreezed lining and now today wiped down again with woolite hand wash delicate suds.
The leather dryed down fine.

I literally am
Considering putting into the washer and use "hand wash" cycle on jacket. Air dry.

What are your thoughts on this?
The leather is fine and glorious after sponge wash.

Am I crazy? Will the lining fall apart ?

I kinda like the idea of washed leather jacket.

I'm not going to send to cleaners as they may ruin her! Lol! Hopefully I don't ruin her.

How about laying your jacket an open container inside a sealed container of kitty litter.
We ran over skunk with our car, and this removed the odor that got inside and into the leather of the car.

Hi Suzie they are from this season. I got them from Saks and they were 1,375.00 plus tax. Here is a pic of them and the code. I cropped it from the box hope it comes out clearly. They are dark brown and they also come in black.

Thanks again for you kind comments. I never let my DH dictate what I wear based on what he is wearing. If he wants to go out in sweats and I am in a dress and heels that is up to him.

I wouldn't do this as it can ruin the jacket forever. Just be patient and with time the smell will air out.
