This is the 2009 cognac, not the 2007 biscuit as the 'stud' on the zipper pulls is at the end on the 0£ja

this is the 09 cognac not the 07 biscuit - you can tell by the positioning of the 'stud' on the zipper pulls ...this is the 2007
Ohhh that’s a nice cognac too all wrinkly! I love the cognac ( and biscuit )
@ananas - so excited to hear about your grey 08 oh my goodness! Huge congrats. Keep us posted!! That’s a beauty unfortunately I let mine go because i just couldn’t carry that colour on my skin. The ladies here all know my grey dilemmas! I have the same ones with my hair now

Oh, what a dangerous thread for me to be in! I've long loved the Bal Motos (and moto jackets in general) and finally narrowed my collection down to a Joie lamb leather jacket (my pride and joy, from my retail days), a True Religion (a greenish grey color I found NWT at thrift), and a vintage brown Members Only. I'm a master of cleaning clothes so I know I'll definitely go the pre-loved route.

Maybe I can find a black/dark/grey one and retire my Joie as a special occasion jacket? That one has a silk lining that has held up surprisingly well for as much as I wear it! I can't zip it any more so getting a moto jacket I can zip in a similar style is a big win for me (38 chest, 30.5 waist, 38 hips)

Or this printed one. I ADORE this pattern so much!

She's here! And just a bit too tight across the back. I ordered a 42 after reading measurements, but I feel like I'd be more comfortable in a 44. I know I've got shoulders like a fridge (outgrew most Junior's things with sleeves when I was in my early teens) and I'd much rather be happier (and able to drive) in a size up.

I'm hooked, though! I will be finding The One!

(it's a WFH day... shout out to Juicy velour pants and no makeup)

Have you thought of removing the shoulder pads? It seems to make a lot of difference from what I've seen. I'm going to do it on my one and only, just haven't had time to do it yet. I forgot the posters name but I know somebody posted before and after and I saved those pics. I hope someone here knows the posters name so she can get the proper credits. See if I can find the pics...

This looks good. Unfortunately I think even if the shoulder pads were removed the back (across the shoulder blades specifically) is a little too tight for my comfort. I know all jackets are cut differently and maybe if I had spent less I'd alter it, but I'm happy to hunt down the next one.

I also really like the feel of the shoulder pads as that's something my Joie moto doesn't have. On my list of things I'd like to do with my (eventual) Balenciaga is zip it, just a bit!

Anyway, Mama Steele is going to see it tonight and give her feedback on the fit as well!

This is with shoulder pads in and a size larger for comfort. You'll see the shoulders are a bit big but I'd rather that than too tight. I still won't wear it done up as it's too tight for me to feel good in. I don't know who they make these jackets for in terms of practicality (as in done up for warmth). :confused1:

Thanks for the modeling pic! This is along the line of what I'm looking for fitwise! :) I feel like it would become my pretty-much-every-day jacket.

I will reiterate that even in a size "too big" for me, unless you're fairly small-busted it'll be a tight fit to do up! It kind of gives you a mono boob look. Much nicer undone IMHO.
