Thanks for your updates about new SS13 scarf booklet, hope the small one is not retired, it was nice in format and colorfull IMO !

Thank you for sharing this information about the scarf booklet. Do you find the Folle de Soie to have more scarf information than the small booklet (especially the stories that used to go with each scarf? I miss that) ? Which one do you prefer?

Thanks for the Equateur love ladies.

As for the book, I'm not sure. My reaction is to say I prefer the old version. I prefer how the offerings were shown individually (if only in one colorway). What this new book has inherited is the part where they style various scarves together on the model. The new book is nothing BUT that...the plus is that you can see how some patterns work together to form interesting combinations. But that is not what I use the booklet for and the only added value I see in it. I want a record/overview (easy to use) of the various offerings. I don't want to make work of it. Maybe I'm a bit old-fashioned. I don't know. It's like some of the changes they've made to H.com - also makes it harder for the consumer. IMHO there is a fine line between art and function in such matters, and H may have just crossed to the less than functional side in the name of "art".

I'd be curious to hear from others who have also received/seen the book - is it just me? Will they be retiring the old booklet? This is slightly off topic so I do apologize (though it relates to SS13 scarves) - the point of adding the tiny snippet from the book was to show a design I hadn't seen appear in this thread as yet.

For those of you who were interested in the Equateur, mine finally came today. This was my season must have, in CW 18. It really is quite fantastic IRL and will just be the statement piece with a simple outfit (though DH bought some green onyx cocktail earrings for me that will just be amazing with this scarf!).

Upon opening the box, I knew it would be amazing:

Thanks Lanit! It's really more than I expected IRL.

I posted some intel on the CWs on 6 January (post # 671 on page 45 - gosh we move fast):

I think Merrydish mentioned she'll be picking up this AND the white one tomorrow in Palm Beach. I'm keen to see the white one as well. But this was my HG!

OMG!! TDF!! This cw is absolutely outstanding! So rich and vibrant, yet very sophisticated. Congrats! And I really have enjoyed all your intel on the Equateur;):hugs::hbeat:

I am wearing my black La Treve de l'eau GM moussie today and it reminds me of this pattern a bit!
Except yours is new and gorgeous:p

I saw a red one yesterday, as well as a black one with a pink center-- it looks like the blue/pink version in julian.f's intel photos, but I'm 99% sure the borders were black rather than blue, although the boutique I was in hasn't got a lot of natural light, so I suppose it's possible it was very dark blue.

I tried on the pink center/black border one, but I was kind of sad that the summer silk was more matte than the regular twills. In that particular colorway I didn't like that effect so much, as it seemed to keep the colors from popping. I wish I could have seen julian's all-black version-- that one looks like a definite winner with much more dramatically defined colors.

Sounds like cw13 which has the caban border. I have a GM with caban and it looks almost black to me. It's definitely hard to tell that it is in the blue family.

julianF The Equateur is mind blowingly beautiful, and you will be the perfect model for this colour way . Do post some modelling shots when you have time.
It seems to me that the black is the most stunning of them all .I've been a recent convert to blue so the Klein Blue may be worth considering .

Oh, Julian, this cw of Equateur is just stunning! Thank you so much for posting.

I hope I have the good fortune to locate one, as Equateur and one of the Ceintures GMs are probably the only items that will work for me this season. This would clearly be my first choice. I know we would all love to see some modeling shots if you get the chance.

I have not seen the new scarf book, but I know they produced a magazine sized book a couple of seasons ago, sort of a companion piece to the special website where H showcased the season's offerings (I can't remember the name.) I miss the Carre Stories booklets, do they include any stories in this new format?

Here is the Fleuri in rouge/orange/turquoise:

Some have said this pattern has a "grandmotherly" feel but I just love the vibrancy of colors. Lifts me from the winter doldrums!

If you have any bright bag - it will match!!

TankerToad was spot on with her comment :smile1:. I think this shawl is beautiful! Enjoy in the best of health!
