I agree with you - where the jaune d'or is more focal looks very nice and it does suit you very well. I think this one of of those designs that don't appeal when viewed as a whole but look great when worn.

I say keep - you will find more and more ways to wear - and fall in love with it. :smile1:

Boy I love both these Pique's in the GM format
I have an orange bolide that I have yet to wear and perhaps one of these GMs would be just the thing to inspire me to wearher~

This looks lovely on you, Carlinha, but I must agree that the main part of the shawl is not the best use of color. It doesn't have the uniformity and subtlety one would find in a monochromatic piece, but there is not enough contrast in the center to bring out the elements of the design, either.
I'm not sure that this cw would be my first choice, but it looks better folded. I prefer the way you have it tied in modeling shots 2-4.

thank you for your advice aliena... i suspect this will be one of those designs that will grow on me the more i wear/try different ways to tie it... i will be giving this some serious thought over the next few days.

thank you monceau! my fave way is 3-4 to wear it... it really emphasizes the yellow border more than the rest of the design which i don't like... i will have to think about this... thank you for your expert opinion, you explained it so clearly!

Hmmmm...I am going to say this as I know you and I have a shared appreciation for truth (and we are friends). I dont know....it does not WOW me like some of your GMs do. And here is the thing...I dont think it is the colorway so much as the pattern!!! I know, I know, I raved about how pretty it looked online and in the 90cm when I saw it but now that I am seeing it worn all the "pizzaz" seems to be lost in the folds...call me perhaps "a bit to the point" or "harsh" but I think it is a waste of a print...:nogood: Count me out for this one. I hope I havent hurt anyones feelings here....:flowers::hugs:

babe you know i always appreciate and WANT your honesty! i would not ask other's opinions otherwise! i am totally on the fence and leaning towards return... i don't like the design spread out especially in this CW... i do like it tied cowboy style, but i don't know if that's enough to make me keep something that cost this much if it is not 100% love... :smooch: love you!
