I just received MY black 140 cm Equateur today - it IS TO DIE FOR!!!!! The colors are literally electric and true-to-life if not better!!! The flamingos are brilliant and rich in color, as are the brilliantine blues that jump off the scarf. The browns and greens of the jungle are rich and natural - not muddied or dull. Hermes really did a bang-up job on this one! My SA advised that this is a limited edition so do not wait to purchase if you have the ability to do so. It has been a long time since I've literally done the "happy dance" when I've opened an orange box to this extreme!!!!!!!::smile1:

Would love to see pics of it, thanks.

Thanks for the Equateur love ladies.

As for the book, I'm not sure. My reaction is to say I prefer the old version. I prefer how the offerings were shown individually (if only in one colorway). What this new book has inherited is the part where they style various scarves together on the model. The new book is nothing BUT that...the plus is that you can see how some patterns work together to form interesting combinations. But that is not what I use the booklet for and the only added value I see in it. I want a record/overview (easy to use) of the various offerings. I don't want to make work of it. Maybe I'm a bit old-fashioned. I don't know. It's like some of the changes they've made to H.com - also makes it harder for the consumer. IMHO there is a fine line between art and function in such matters, and H may have just crossed to the less than functional side in the name of "art".

I'd be curious to hear from others who have also received/seen the book - is it just me? Will they be retiring the old booklet? This is slightly off topic so I do apologize (though it relates to SS13 scarves) - the point of adding the tiny snippet from the book was to show a design I hadn't seen appear in this thread as yet.

Oh, please, please, please consider to add a picture (or two) of that said booklet here. I'm sure nobody would mind, as it is directly concerns this season's scarves...
As for your question, I believe scarfmischief mentioned that starting this season H is retiring the booklets. :shucks:

Carlinha, I love the pique shawl on you. I think that the dark colors contrast very well with the borders. If I were you I would keep it.
You ladies made me so jealous...I haven't got a call from my SA regarding pique yet!

Yes, Masik, they are THINKING of retiring the regular, seasonal, scarf booklets.

It is the "scarf stories" (black and white booklets), that they stopped producing already.

Thank you, friend :) Yes, I remembered the latter, but also assumed that later H wanted to stop the paper scarf booklets and to put it online. I'm glad I am wrong
