For those of you who were interested in the Equateur, mine finally came today. This was my season must have, in CW 18. It really is quite fantastic IRL and will just be the statement piece with a simple outfit (though DH bought some green onyx cocktail earrings for me that will just be amazing with this scarf!).

Beautiful! Thank you for the detailed photos!

I just received MY black 140 cm Equateur today - it IS TO DIE FOR!!!!! The colors are literally electric and true-to-life if not better!!! The flamingos are brilliant and rich in color, as are the brilliantine blues that jump off the scarf. The browns and greens of the jungle are rich and natural - not muddied or dull. Hermes really did a bang-up job on this one! My SA advised that this is a limited edition so do not wait to purchase if you have the ability to do so. It has been a long time since I've literally done the "happy dance" when I've opened an orange box to this extreme!!!!!!!::smile1:

Terrific, Yakirah! Enjoy your beautiful Equateur! I love the 140cm summer silks and am hoping to find a Magic Kelly. Glad you're doing a happy dance! :)

tresorchic and Julianf - beautiful choices.
The Graff is quite trendy with gorgeous colors and Equateur is such a classic with the classiest colors
IMHO, two extremes equally gorgeous.
Congrats to both of you.

Firstly, thanks all for the Equateur love!!! It really is a fantastic piece that I feel fortunate to have located - summer silks seems so elusive.

To answer some questions posted to me about the scarf: it is a 140cm summer silk (so very light silk). I would love to model but considering I'm pretty down with the flu and looking all sorts of grim, the only thing I can manage to model is fleece and flannel ;). However, two other ladies (Yakirah / Merrydish) have/will have this ... any luck getting either of you two ladies (or both) to model? I'll snap a shot as soon as I get myself together one of these days...

Merrydish, I would also love to see the white one if you decide to take it. I had hoped it would be more neutral/earth toned, but I'm very curious to see the gray/blue take on the design.

Regarding, Les Bolides, I know very little...sorry. Just wanted to share the design.

And now to the book...no stories. Just photos. And a summary set of pages in the back, naming the designs used in the photos. Per request, I took some pics of the book to share. Not the whole book, but just enough to give everyone an idea of what it is. If people want more details, better shots or the rest of the book, let me know.

...and specially for Etoile de Mer, who asked about the Quadrige Dip Dyes, another page, plus close up. I love how copper it looks in these photos:

Thank you Julian! I hope you feel beter soon!!!! It is nice to see the Quadrige here! It looks like it is going to be a nice one to add to our collection. I always love the feel of dip dyes so this is exciting!!! Again feel better!!!

Actually I rather like the approach in the new style Folle de Soie. It is rather more dynamic than the old booklets ( which I love with a passion and have collected avidly - don't get me wrong)and I also like the colour themes.

There is no point in lamenting the passing of the old booklets - they were never an exhaustive catalogue of styles and colours - reissued designs of the season were not infrequently left out altogether. Hermes has always resisted a detailed catalogue being made available as it is simply a licence for fakers to bootleg the designs.

Many, many thanks for posting the pics - can't wait to get my own now.

Enjoy!

Congrats! Please, post modeling pics. May I ask, how much it was? I'm a newbie and I couldn't find a scarf in that size and quality on the homepage to look up.
