I also think the theme is odd this year, and I'm not sure how it meshes with some of the designs at all!

Not the best season, but a few pleasant surprises have cropped up.
Perhaps I am the only one, but I find many of the recent color combos to be too much.
The reason PdM in Rose Indien works for me is because the other colors are muted, had they all been BRIGHT, it would not have worked for me. I like color, but color needs to be harmonious for me. In terms of color and design, it seems like many of the recent offerings just don't have the timeless quality that I would like to see in an H carre. "Cute" and "fun" can be picked up at a fraction of the price. H needs to be special to warrant the price.
On the other hand, some colors and designs that would never work on me look gorgeous on others...
Echec ties well, looking forward to Equater and Ceintures in GM.
Pique Fleuri in gavroche is utterly charming, but not sure how it will translate to GM...

Honestly, I can't wear everything I have now, so I do know this: I am not going to purchase something just to take part in the season, if nothing works on me, I'll be on hiatus until fall.
Agreed! I also decided on the 140 after seeing the 90 version of Echec au Roi. The design seemed less busy & in better proportion on a 140.
I love the colors of the chess pieces & with the contemporary feel of this piece, I went with basic colors of green, yellow, blues with some black/grays on a white background

Exactly my feelings.
I have been collecting scarves for more than 20 years too.
The 90 scarf is the H item that I enjoy buying the most every season.
When I think of Hermes the 90 scarf comes to my mind before the Kelly or the Birkin.
I don't mind if I don't buy GMs but not 90 carres, that's why I am very disappointed in the designs this season.
No, so far the plan is for possibly on Pique gavroche, but since I overdid it A/W I welcome sitting back and watching others' new trophies.
The theme does seem a bit out of sync since last year was the Olympics
and I am not sure either what 2 very floral scarves have to do with sports but there you go. For a while H have been shamelessly courting the very young, perhaps now they trying to not scare the men by announcing scarves for the sporty. I hear you on the brightness. I don't dislike bright scarves but I have enough, how many orange scarves can a woman have before she's looking for navy, or olive, or graphite...
Exactly. Sometimes it's as much fun whilst others do all the 'work' LOL

I feel your pain too, juda. I think the theme for the year is not what most of H are drawn to H for, nor willing to pay their prices for - the Swing reissue makes me gag, and I don't want a bright green cartoonish scarf from H!
I have limited funds, and typically pick 1 90 cm per collection. Because I haven't been collecting for so long, I'm drawn towards Le Songe de la Licorne as my pick for the year, but honestly if I owned La Danse du Cheval Marwari and another Annie Faivre or 2, I probably wouldn't be - and there is the issue of finding an acceptable CW. I usually love Pierre Marie, but Les Trophees really doesn't appeal to me because of the theme. Ors Bleus is surprisingly pretty though.

I wholeheartedly agree, Monceau. Some members manage to make look designs amazing just because it works for them, so I'm looking forward to more pics even if I don't see a lot working for me this season
When I was in Paris last week the window at FSH had 140 silk twill versions of ExLibris en Kimonos and Tresors Retrouves. Any news on these and how much they cost?
I am with those who see little of interest in the new 90 cms. I like several GMs, but the twills aren't exciting me this season. Nor are the new bags we've seen so far. The "sportif" thing does nothing for me. I personally hope the new direction H seems to be taking is not pursued, but it would be good for my wallet if it were, so I suppose that's an upside!
