Are both of these yours? I love the look of the older DE but someone said that the new model is better, less treated and won't have the wrinkles. If you own the new one, I would love to hear about your experience.
I bought the new one yesterday, brought it home and found a stitch undone, so I returned it today. My SA is going to keep looking for me when a new shipment comes in. :-)

I am considering a Speedy B 35 in azur. I have the same bag in ebene and it is perfect for me in every way.

I will be my first new bag with vachetta, and I don’t want to treat it with anything. I want it to patina naturally and I am not worried about waterstains. I find them to give character.

But I am worried about the handles getting almost black/grey patina as I have seen on some bags (though on original Speedy, not B).

I use my bag as a shoulderbag most of the time. The rest is in the crook of my arm. I only carry it by hand very few times (getting out of the car and so on). I never have bare arms (only on vacation, and I would not bring the bag there). So it will be touching fabric and not skin.

I know there isn’t a guarantee, but does it sound like it would get those dark handles easily?

I'm curious about the patina too. I also have a DE Speedy. I would like to own a Speedy in the three standard prints. I agree with you, it is perfect for me in every way!

I finally bit the bullet and part exchanged my monogram Deauville for this Speedy 30 Azur. I just found I was never using my Deauville and as all my other pieces are monogram it's nice to have a change and let someone else get more use out of her.

Apologies for the photo quality, the patina is a lovely uniform honey colour.

Now to use her.... :)Speedy Azur 1.jpg

I think I asked this question in some forum but can’t seem to find it, so I’ll ask again... a friend said she loves Speedy and I wanted to gift her a Speedy 30 in mono. My question is, do any of you use inserts? I guess I am wondering about the bottom bottoming out. I have a Speedy 30 in empriente (and really wish they would make more, I really need black!!!) and don’t have that issue. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
