Hello speedy lovers! All of the pictures here are amazing, I have serious bag envy
Does anyone know if the My World Tour version (bandouliere 30 specifically) is limited edition? I love the monogram speedy but I'm not the biggest fan of the lighter handles, or even when they patina. So the black handles with the mono canvas would be perfect
(in my crazy, bag obsessed mind I see this as a good alternative to the neonoe with black details, but one that I can wear comfortably crossbody and is more secure!)

Unfortunately, because DE is a thick coated leather, LV does consider this "normal." If you just purchased it and have not worn it, you could exchange, but you would have to find a store with several to choose from to find one that did not have these wrinkles. Mine does have some on one side, not as deep as yours, but the other side is perfectly smooth. So, they are out there, but it can be burdensome to try to find one.
I'm curious to know the date code on your speedy bc I've noticed the new DE leather seemed to have changed very recently. In the what are you stalking thread, someone posted that she had this issue and returned hers and got the new type of de and the leather is very matte and no wrinkles. You might want to check it out and if you don't mind, pls share the datecode. Thx
Mine looks that way but it’s because I made a rookie mistake and tried to fold it the wrong way. I’m just telling myself it gives it added character and I’ll be able to tell it’s mine!
The date code is SD 4198! I don’t know how to read date codes. What does it mean? Thanks!
Mine is from 2018, so it should be the newer leather, but it does have the wrinkles on one side (more like small ripples actually). I didn't like it at first, but I have now basically forgotten about it as it does not show that much when you are wearing it. It is annoying because I know that it does not have to be that way initially, but I was not willing to continue to exchange until I found one that was "perfect," because I do not think that such a thing exists. Leather is going to wrinkle
Actually SD usually means made in the USA. The bag should have a tag on the inside stating this.
I agree with you. Perfect does not exist and I don't mind minor differences. I'm curious bc I'm thinking of buying the speedy b25 in DE but I'm not sure I love the new matte DE leather. My made in Feb 2019 mini PA DE has this new leather but that piece is so small, it doesn't matter but not sure how the speedy handle would look. Thank you. As others have said, your bag was made in latter part of 2018. I think more recent DE bags (my mini PA made 8th week of 2019) has the new DE leather so you might notice a difference in the leather if you go into the boutique. Not saying one is better than the other, I think its just personal preference. The person that exchanged her bag said she prefers the new leather and has no wrinkling at all but it lacks the sheen that yours has. Just wanted to let you know. I hope you end up with what you love!
