I’m thinking to do the same thing if I get the classic speedy. Wanted mono but couldn’t love the leather stripes on the sides. Is your speedy 30? Thanks for sharing the pictures

I do the same thing with my DE speedy 30. I wouldn't do it all the time just when you absolutely need to be hands-free. I also have some scratches on my hardware on the handles but that doesn't really bug me. I say get the bag your heart set on and then make it work for you

I have both mono and de in classic 30. I just add a strap when I need it. I used my mono in NYC over Christmas with a strap and it worked great. No wear on the metal. I'm not a fan of the stripe either. I wish the MWT came in classic.
