Just picked up a speedy 30 in DE for my birthday. Simple and classic. I sold my speedy B 25 DE last month and missed the canvas. So happy to have the 30 in DE back and without the strap. Guess I’m old school[emoji41]
I don’t like the racing stripe down the sides. I like the simple elegance of the original. They had the B in stock and I came close to ordering a MWT speedy but I just had the vachetta replaced on my mono speedy. I’m kinda over the strap. I sold all my DE bags and missed the print. That’s a long winded answer that maybe the older I get the more I’m moving back towards classic pieces. I’m down to two speedy 30s and two petit noes as my every day bags.
I’ll chime in too, if it helps. I originally bought the SpeedyB in DE but the strap didn’t sit well on my shoulder and the end stuck out unattractively, so I exchanged it for the classic Speedy and bought a thinner more comfortable LV matching strap for it and it has worked out well for last 4 years!
Thank you for sharing your inputs. I have a classic speedy that I love. But since my daughter is not even 2, i find handheld bags difficult and was contemplating a speedy b. Also, the millions of youtubers ravibg abt the speedy b got me confused. I think i will probably stick with the classic. I still carry my classic to wrk nd girls night. 
Yes I love it, BUT I’m biased, I’m looking at mine on my dresser- it’s the best bag- Enjoy it!

Hi, how have you found the bag with a strap connected to the hardware? After 4 years I’m curious how the hardware has held up with the strap clasps rubbing there
I think it’s normal with the flexing of it and holding the weight, I just sold my 2 year old one and the strap was worse
