I am looking to add a Speedy B to my collection. I already own classic Speedy 30 in DE.
Right now I really want Speedy B 30 in Mono, but can't decide if I should get plain or Mon Monogram! Any advice?
Alternatively, should I consider getting it in another size? I really think Speedy 30 is perfect and I worry that with the dual zippers, the opening of the 25 B will be really constricting and annoying. I'm petite - 5'2'' and 115lbs. 30 years old. Looking for this bag to be a daily bag for work, travel, just general use.
I'm trying to decide because I'm considering asking for it for a Christmas gift. This or a Keepall 45 in Monogram Macassar. Thanks in advance for your help!

You probably have a similar build to me: I’m 31, a tad less than 5’2” and aroung 125 lbs. I have both the 25 and the 30 and LOVE both for different purposes and looks. The 25 is small, but holds a ton. The zipper is a bit annoying, that’s true, but it’s manageable. I don’t think the 30 is too big for my body frame and it’s a perfect size for everyday use. I posted some mod shots of my 30 on the October reveals thread.
just stalked your posts! thanks for sharing. I love the 30 as well, I think it's perfect. For some reason I think I might get the 30 in mono, and then down the line maybe a 25 B in DE. I dunno, something about it in DE is really cute in that size.

Well, if you travel alot, I'd go with the keepall. Especially since prices are soon to go up, and it's a more expensive item. Also, not so common on the secondary market. You could go secondary market for a speedy b. If you don't do mon mono, of course.
Now for speedy's if you choose that route! I absolutely love my 25b! I am also much larger than you, at 5'7" and 160#, BUT, that bag fits everything I carry. And I don't have any issue getting in/out of the zipper opening either. However, I don't wear many rings on my hands. If you do, then I'd recommend the b30 for sure. I don't think anyone's mentioned that point, but yes, if you wear alot of hand jewelry, it may be annoying in a 25.
FWIW, I typicallly carry in my 25b:
H bearn wallet
H medium Karo - makeup and mirror
2 H calvi - store cards and gift cards/receipts
sunglasses
car key fob
reading glasses ( ugh!)
And I can also still fit a shawl, scarf. or light long sleeve athleta type after gym shirt, small umbrella, and small water bottle. But then she's stuffed haha!

Thanks so much for the info! I definitely think the 25 could hold everything I need, so I think I probably should just go in and try them on and decide which one I like best in person. I see a lot of pre-owned Speedy Bs on Fashionphile that look in great condition, so that's not a bad idea to go pre-loved.
Thanks for the info re: keepall. I've actually wanted a Keepall longer than a Speedy B, so that's probably the route I should go! Plus I definitely want that new, because I've never gotten anything new LV!
If you've wanted a keepall forever, I'd get that as your new item. But, yes, also go into the store and look both speedy sizes. That should help, and then maybe you can purchase a preloved speedy, and have both! Let us know what you decide!
