I realized this morning my SLGs didn’t match my Speedy DA but I didn’t have time to switch everything out before school. I was carrying my Speedy 30 B DE last week so everything was matched to that bag. But that’s ok. I love it all!

I just love this! I love a well patina’d bag. I feel like my new Speedy will take forever to get this dark. I’ve been wearing my vintage Montsouris backpack lately since it’s so dark like yours.

Hi! I'm torn between 2 preloved speedy's. 1 is 2004 and one is 1991. Both are in good condition, the 2004 is just $100 more than the 1991 model.

Can’t decide to put the lock on the handle or the side tab, I heard the side tab hole wears down a lot if you hang it from the side. Where do you put your locks on the speedy classic?

I think I would choose the one from 2004. It looks to be in better shape and the vachetta isn’t as dark as the 1991 Speedy. I think the quality of canvas from 2004 will be fine. I would personally go with the 2004, just because I like the Vachetta to patina over time with me, like a sort of experience I have with my bag, sounds a bit odd but I like to age with my bag. But both are good options and in great condition! Mine is a 2015 and it’s patina looks similar to the 2004, I bought it preloved recently also.

I love my speedy bags. I have had this monogram speedy b for about 18 months, i just noticed on the LV us website the monogram speedy b 25 has this limited availability clause like they do with the pochette metis. Found that interesting.

I have heard that the hole on the side stretches out when you hold the lock while closing the zipper. Personally the minute I polished my vintage lock, I stuck it on the side tab of my refurbished speedy 30. I just love the look of the lock on that tab!
