My question is - do you think it's worth it to replace the handles or should I try and sell the bag? I do still really like it, but it's unlikely that I will use it unless something is done with the handles. I got the bag when it was around $600 so I feel as though I've more than had my money's worth out of it. But now that I look at the cost of it ($1,340 CDN) brand new, I don't know if I would repurchase if I decided that I miss it.

Does anyone know how much it costs to replace the handles? I guess that would be my first decision.

ETA: Or is there a way to clean the handles really well?

Since you love the bag and it was your first LV I would replace the handles. It seems that you truly cherish the bag so it’d be worth replacing the handles if it were my bag. I don’t have a price for you as I’ve not had that repair done myself and I’ve heard different amounts from various sources. I recommend watching Little Mamma’s House on YouTube. She does amazing LV restoration and cleaning videos.

You’re right, it means so much more because it was my first bag. I bought it for myself as a treat in my mid-20’s when my first marriage was ending so it has sentimental value.

I would take it in to LV and get a quote. I had the handles replaced on my speedy about 3 years ago and it was $140 (usd) for both handles. If the Canvas is in good condition, I would definitely have it refurbished and keep it.

Hi, just curious about Speedy B 25 storage. When I got mine a few months ago it came folded flat in a small LV dust bag. I’d prefer however to store it upright, stuffed with paper and it won’t fit in the small dust bag that way. I went to the store and the SA said they don’t have extra bags and that it is intended to be stored flat??

Anyone have any idea where I can get a larger LV bag? I can’t imagine they really want me to flatten it out between uses...

If you're close with an SA you can ask and see what they say. My mom made a big purchase at LV recently and I'm kicking myself for not asking for a luggage tag then because now it'll be impossible to ask! Also, there are many companies that sell dustbags, though they won't be LV branded. Container Store has them, and there's a seller I found on IG who screenprints pictures of your bag onto the dustbag for easy storage and identification. Also, I have a Speedy B 25 and I store it in its original dustbag unfolded. It's a bit of a squeeze and I haven't tried it with the bag stuffed but it works!

The dust bags for both of my speedy’s are large enough for me to store them upright. I store them stuffed with paper upright in the dust bag.

Can you ask again at your store? Or look on the preowned sites to get a bigger dust bag?

Yes, I will ask again or just get a different bag. I can’t fit mine in with slightly bending one side, which would probably make a crease over time. Thanks

Hi, I am able to store my SpeedyB25 stuffed and unfolded in its original dust bag, how small a bag did LV give you?
I don’t want to flatten mine out between uses either :giggle:
