You need to use an organizer which has give so to speak. I use an organizer and base snapper with no issues at all! But also have a 25 as I think the 30bumps into things. Your organizer should not be touching the side of the bag - should be smaller than the bag.

Hmm, good tips to know! Thanks! Would you say sizing down is still recommended even if I'm going for that very structured/boxy look? I don't really like a wrinkly saggy looking bag. Also, I'm probably just overly paranoid, but I've heard that the black scuffing can happen just from setting down the bag?? So, now I'm concerned that even it brushing against me while I walk will cause scuffs...is that likely? (I just got the bag if you couldn't tell haha!)

Not really as you can obtain the same look with the 30. I agree I do not like the saggy look at all which is why i use the organizer and base shaper. I will try to get a picture for you later. As far as the black scuffing - I had a speedy DE 30 for years and never experienced anything of the sort. But I have seen what you are referring to - cannot really tell you how those are getting there. With me you have to keep in mind I have several bags so I am not using the same bag every day.

Hi again,
So I just got this Speedy 30 a couple months ago, and after closely inspecting I've noticed that there is a hole or crack in the glazing by the handle? I'm not sure if it's just unfinished glazing or if it'll be fine and won't likely get worse..but I'm a little worried :/ 32697813_10214032502519249_1324585574991921152_n.jpg 32376720_10214032501759230_2933034059791597568_n.jpg

Not a big deal. Just enjoy your bag.

Just looks like a bit unfinished glaze, I wouldn’t worry about it.

like in never ever “it will not” you just crushed my dreams lol. I love Speedy 25 but that opening its too small for me and I was hoping perhaps in the future the zipper will be extended to the sides. Still wishful thinking here:biggrin:
On the Empreinte Speedys the zipper goes over the sides and the opening is large on the 25, also because of the soft leather. HTH!

Hi Speedy B owners! I am planning on getting a Speedy B 25 in either DE or Mono. I’d like to use it for family outings — such as amusement parks. So, I’m wondering if the DE strap would become too uncomfortable to wear on longer days (wearing primarily crossbody) if I were to have a bare shoulders/spaghetti strap type tops? Any advice? Just wear a top the covers the shoulder? Ha. I’d rather the DE over Mono.

I wore my DE speedy b all last summer and it never bothered me. I have the 30 and lug a bunch of stuff with me, too.

What are your guys' opinions on a bag organizer for the speedy 30? I've heard that it can cause more wear and tear due to the structure created for the bag, which can be prone to getting the black scuffs on the edges  Do you have any other recommendations to achieve the structured look w/out an organizer? Thanks ladies!
I use a organizer from Samorga no sag and I love it!!!

I have a speedy 25 DA (my first LV) that I bought years ago and I loved it so much that I carried it every single day for about 5 years, which included multiple vacations.... you can only imagine how the handles look now! I didn't know much about caring for the bag so unfortunately, I didn't take care of it the way I should have. I know for the future for me personally that I will never do a top handle style bag with vachetta! My latest speedy is the 30 in DE and I also take care of it.

My question is - do you think it's worth it to replace the handles or should I try and sell the bag? I do still really like it, but it's unlikely that I will use it unless something is done with the handles. I got the bag when it was around $600 so I feel as though I've more than had my money's worth out of it. But now that I look at the cost of it ($1,340 CDN) brand new, I don't know if I would repurchase if I decided that I miss it.

Does anyone know how much it costs to replace the handles? I guess that would be my first decision.

ETA: Or is there a way to clean the handles really well?
