The SA at my store baffled me when he told me adding a strap can damage the bag, yet when I asked if I can add a strap to the Alma PM, he said "sure no problem". Both bags have similar handles/reinforcements. He really shamed me for getting the classic, and not the B.. seemed a little too sales pushy, which I did not appreciate.

ps. I ordered a purse organizer for structure and base. Once I get it, I'll have a better idea about keeping the 35 or going with the 30.

The handles are similar, but the Alma is much more structured than the speedy. The strap will pull the speedy unevenly and may or may not lead to issues from the strain. With the canvas being lighter and more pliable nowadays, it might wear in a bad way. I think that adding a strap to the classic speedy works better on the 25 size, maybe 30. It looks a bit awkward on the 35 and honestly the thin chain seems mismatched with a big bag like that.

I have the Speedy B 25 and 30 and wear both crossbody. They’re really comfortable for me.

I felt the same about that delicate chain on that large bag, and the 35 is my favorite size btw

Hello everyone!
Was thinking of getting the speedy B 20 in empreinte, but I got some questions regarding its shape when wearing. So I thought I'd ask here. :biggrin:

Does the bag look flat or does it hold to its round/oval shape when you wear it x-body? (never tried it irl but its such a nice bag!)

How do you make sure that with a Speedy B in mono all the vachetta has more or less the same patina? I barely use the middle part of the strap and it's comparef to the rest quite light. Any tipps? My speedy isn't even a year old I am a bit scared that the colour difference will be even stronger

Keep it out in a sunny patch of your house and tan it until it matches

I was just having this same thought as I recently discovered how much more I like it without that extender part. Mine is preloved so it's currently all the same level of tan.... But not for long! You can tan it in the sun. There's also a technique here from the patina queen, if you do that in the search bar, which involves water. It does work nicely.

I have the 25 and it doesn’t slouch like my canvas version. It hold its shape well and molds to the hip just a bit. I love this bag!
