Hello i just want to ask if this is normal to have in our speedys? I had my speedy for about a year and a half only and had not been exposed to any liquid nor humidity.
I went to our local LV store and my SA told me she will try to have it repaired or exchanged (if it's possible since it still looks like new except for the 'rust' on the hardwares). Since we're taking a long time on the counter, a senior SA came and asked what the problem was and upon looking at my speedy's hardware, she told that there is no need to try to request for a new one as it was normal and it was made to look that way (made to look vintage).
My SA took my bag and went up the store and when she came back, she told they had polished the hardwares of my speedy. True enough, the rusts were gone but the gold color faded a bit. She just told me to polish the hardware so that the rust won't come back. But after a few days, I received a message from LV:
Louis Vuitton informs you that your item has been transferred to your
store and is now available.
Kind regards,
Louis Vuitton After-Sales Service
I went to the store that day but my SA was not there and when I showed the message to the other SAs, they don't have any idea about it. I messaged my SA but she didn't reply (maybe because she was off duty?).
Sorry for the long post but I am just curious about your speedy's hardware. Is it really suppose to look rusty??![]()
Hi, I don’t think it’s “supposed to be “rusty” .It just happens eventually. Than It’s just up to your SA or repair manager to decide whether to repair or exchange it. From the message you received it seems as if your SA requested for an exchange and it has been approved .... Good luck and keep us posted![emoji4][emoji847]
