French Company. In the mid-1970s through I think 1991(?), Louis Vuitton was produced and sold in high end retailers such as Saks and Neiman Marcus under special license to The French Company, a US luggage company, to help with the demand in the US market. The Speedy 30 I inherited from my Nana was one made by the French Company. It is a bit different as it has a different locking mechanism, a strip of leather on the bottom, and the LV pattern is right side up on both sides.

Thanks, this is very helpful. Im just getting the classic speedy 30 and am only planning on using the strap when absolutely necessary so i figure it can't cause much damage if say i just need it to wash hands in a public restroom [emoji3]

That is all I use mine for. I don’t carry it by the strap, I just use the strap to keep from putting it down in a restroom etc.

That is simply not true. I took mine to my local LV at the mall, they sent it in, and then kept in touch with me thru the entire process. Find another LV store who understands the value of your precious bag. It will not take long to find someone who is on a mission to restore your little piece of history.

Unfortunately, there is only one location in Tennessee. I guess I could try by calling the Atlanta store which is the next closest I think. I am also going to NYC the end of February and am considering taking it with me there. Which location did your repair?

It from the my lv world tour line. The only way to order is in store right now. You can get different patches on it but I just wanted my initials. It’s more than the regular speedy b 30 but worth it! I love that my bag won’t age like the untreated leather but still have monogram! My dream bag for sure. I was lucky it just happened to be my first bag

ITs the world tour edition. You can personalize how you want it. Only can order in store. When you go to louisvuitton.com click women and personalize then world tour. There you will see the options and patches you can have on it. Take about 4 weeks to arrive.

I am deciding between the speedy b DE 25 or 30. I will use it for fall and winter and mostly crossbody.

Someone here who has a soeedy b 30 that you use mainly as a crossbody bag? Could you show me some pictures of you wearing it?
