IMG_4179.JPG I need advice. I recently bought a pre-loved Speedy 25 classic in damier ebene. Like new condition. Made in France. I love it. I love the classic style. The leather leafs on each end. The one-way zipper with leather pull tab. I mostly carry by the top handles. But, occasionally I do like the option to put on my shoulder (hands full, public restroom, etc.). I never wear as a crossbody. I just recently also purchased a separate new LV ebene 16mm adjustable strap (still within return window). Ridiculous price, yes, but I think it looks great and it works well with the bag. I see no issues with added stress to the bag particularly since I use the strap infrequently and it is a 25 size bag. I struggle, however, whether I should just get the Speedy B 25. I am watching a preloved one (same total price as my classic & separate strap combo). And, even considering a new one. Buying preloved & re-selling is exhausting & nervewracking. And, new, well a lot of money for a strap I would seldom use. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Honestly, I prefer the Speedy B due to the placement of the strap but if you aren't really going to use it much maybe look into a less expensive option like a strap from Mautto, I believe that's the company that others really like. LV straps are so expensive...maybe return while you still can, you can always buy again if you need to.

Thank you for your time to respond! I agree. I returned the strap tonight. Just wasn't setting well. While at the LV store I did look at the Speedy B 25. I really liked it. But, gotta sleep on it. As an aside, I think my indecision to buy tonight was, in part, due to my experience in the store. I am relatively new to LV. But, what struck me as funny is all these "expensive" bags flattened in their dust bags and thrown in drawers on top of each other. The SA pulled it out much like I would pull a pair of socks out of my sock drawer! Lol. I realize that these bags are folded, but for the money I was thinking about spending tonight, actually seeing all those flattened bags in the drawer was a tad underwhelming.

I've noticed something on tha glazing of the handles.. It looks like it would peel?! But just the "plastic" not the red glazing

what do you think? I have her just one month and i haven't seen this on my turenne pm and other bags
Did you get it fixed? I've noticed it on mine too, I've only carried my speedyb25 a handful times, hardly use the handles, I mainly use it as a shoulder bag. I just noticed the sealant is peeling on one handle.

I got an exchange and another exchange after one day as I noticed that this can happen again with the exchanges bag as it started to show some signs.
Thus is a defect and you should get an exchange.. how old is your bag?

On December 26 it will be a year. Here's a photo of it. The handles are still pretty light because like I said I barely use it. I could feel the plastic when I lift the handle

You can try a Longchamp! I know that's a favorite for people protecting their Hermes on flights. Also, Baggu is a great company that has TONS of bags in different colors. The standard size is $9, and the biggest is $12. They can both carry up to 50lbs in weight, plus they fold up very small. I think the 35 would fit in both, but maybe the larger size would be better so it can completely wrap up your speedy. Here's an idea of how big it is:

And how it folds up:

thank you so much for posting these bags! I always wanted to get something like this and these are perfect. I got the larger size to share with my GM NF.
