So happy I can finally post in the Speedy B Club. I actually started another thread because I couldn't find the original club. But here I am finally...

My first LV wasn't a Speedy, but my next was an Epi Speedy 25. While I still own the bag I've struggled to love it. I always get "Zipper-Hands" when I reach inside. The top just isn't wide enough to suit me. But the design is so functional. Then 3 years ago after numerous purchases I bought a Speedy DE 30 and after carrying it almost too much, I feel deep in love with the size and the look of that bag. And I regretted I hadn't bought the Bandouliere for the crossbody option.

Fast forward to last week and I couldn't wait to run to the store and finally, finally, own the Bandouliere 30. I really wanted the Monogram, but knowing this was going to be a workhouse in my wardrobe, I opted for the DE. I LOVE this bag, more than any other I've owned. It holds everything I need with me every day with room for more. Even loaded, it's lightweight. It surprises me that this bag was only released in 2011. The look of the handbag is so feminine and ladylike worn handheld or on the crook of your arm. And how wonderful to have the crossbody option when your hands are full. Brilliant!

I try not to be wasteful... I sold a bag to make room for this purchase... but honestly, this bag is so perfect that I want one in each canvas.

Speedys are addictive for sure. I too want one in another canvas. I don’t think I’ll do all three but it’s tough choosing between them!

I recently got the Speedy B 25 in the DE as a birthday gift from my husband. I was wondering if wearing the lock on the side d rings or hardware on the handles will cause scratching/chipping. I love the look, but would like to avoid extra wear and tear if possible. Anyone who has had the bag for awhile and can give some feedback is greatly appreciated. TIA!

I solved the problem by getting a Key Bell. I can put my lock keys in the bell and the lock on the leather and that way it doesn't rub the rings on the side.

I've also never had a made in Italy LV bag before!
Here's a pic of the stamp and one of the wavy zipper!
Hope they're not too dark!
Mine is wavy too! Trying to decide what I should do

What ever happened with this zipper? Did you have any additional issues with it or send for repair etc? I just got mine & it too has a wavy zipper—trying to decide what to do...overall in working condition no issue but not sure if this is going to bug me

The only time my new Speedy B 30's zipper seems a bit "wavy" is when I carry it crossbody. I usually carry it crossbody when my hands are full either carrying stuff upstairs to my condo or dashing around the mall and I most times, have the zipper unzipped. On the crook of my arm or carried by the handles it's zipped closed and the zipper is fine.

Mine looks wavy just sitting—like the fabric around the zipper track

I need some help! I purchased my first Speedy B over the weekend and it arrived yesterday but I am so torn! I got the 35 in Mono but after reading so many reviews or posts of this forum I'm thinking I want to swap it for the 30 DE because I don't really like the idea of having the 'baby' a handbag that I will be using in a daily basis.

Can anyone give any advice if I should change it for the smaller size/different canvas? I'd love some help!!

Like many in this club I am a huge Speedy fan. I have a Damier Azur 30 and a 30 Damier Ebene Bandoliere. I felt that the 35 was just a bit too large in the Speedy to carry as just a daily handbag. For my taste, it didn't seem proportioned correctly... too much bag for the handle. And a 25 gives me "zipper" hands every time I reach inside. So I definitely would recommend the 30.

As far as the canvas and babying it... I do love the Ebene for just that reason especially if this bag is going to be a work horse for you. Also, if the occasional rain spot on your Vachetta leather trim of your Monogram Speedy bothers you, then yes, exchange for the Ebene. I don't mind the darkening of the Vachetta, but spotting on my handbags drives me insane. Spots on luggage trim might as well be invisible, doesn't bother me at all. But my Azur Speedy does get treated differently, with a bit more care. My Ebene Speedy B and an Ebene Neverfull GM are my workhorses and it's great to carry them worry free. And by the way I recently sold a 15 year old DE bag that still looked brand spanking new.

So if you mind a few imperfections and still want to carry this bag every day... exchange for the Ebene... or better yet, buy a 2nd bag and keep both!!!
