I'm guessing it could be the Made In Italy factory is using a different quality zipper track.
Nice find! I didn't know the Speedys are made in Italy as well and available in the US.First time seeing it.
I got 2 speedy b 25 and 2 speedy b 35, they are very different bags, I love the opening on 35, and like the slouchy look, and I use it almost everyday, especially for winter, I can put all my winter accessories no problem!
Once if you have purse organizer in 35, it's not too big at all

Ok, after carrying my Speedy all last week. I can safely say that the speedy is definitely lighter than my Siena. However, I had a hard time not loading it up with more items since it's roomier. I hope that helps and you are able to pick one soon. My personal vote is for the 30 since you have little ones- again, I don't really care of either for a crossbody though.
I am going to pick up my speedy b 25 on Friday. I couldn't wait any longer- leaning towards DE, but will look at the mono as well and will see who calls out to me!

Thanks for the feedback! I did bought the speedy 30 b in DE MIF, but ended up returning it since it looked big on me as a crossbody and shoulder bag. It looked like a gym bag on me. So, now I'm thinking of getting the speedy 25 b in DE. I tried at the store and it looked nice as a shoulder and crossbody. I tried the Sienna Pm and it kinda stick out as a crossbody, plus it looks too much like my TURENNE pm. I like the mono print, but worry with kids that I will get the vachetta dirty fast. I waiting to see if I can find one MIF since all my bags are MIF.
I'm in with my speedyB 25! I LOVE it. Here are a few pictures. I am 5'4.
I've used this bag every day for the last two weeks. It is amazingly comfortable and practical to use. I carry it mostly crossbody or on the shoulder with the long strap.
HOWEVER, I'm a bit disappointed in the quality. Check out two pictures of the hardware after two weeks of use. The gold is already quite worn down. Ugh.
I'm still going to keep it. But, yes, a bit disappointed. But not enough to return.
Looks very nice on you. I'm debating if I should get it due to hardware quality. For the price LV should provide better quality!
Like I said- you can go wrong with either! You're so lucky you got MIG right away! I waited about 9 months for my MIF speedy b! My SA pulled a speedy b 25 but it's not MIF- I don't know idbibcsn pull the trigger! Good luck on your search!

I went to LV and confirmed. The new speedy will be released in July. My SA showed me the pre-release bag MIF and it does have a wider opening. The zipper in the new one on both sides goes pass the edge a little to allow for a wider opening. So far they only have it in black with a little gray interior. Also the new one have a wide slip pocket the width of the bag on the outside and 2 pockets On the inside and a zipper pouch. I forgot to take pics. It's more functional than the current model. The price is ~2500 or something, I forgot the exact amount. I wish they have it in the canvas version since I like a lighter bag.

On Monday I finally bought the Speedy B30 in DE, a bag I'd been wanting for a long time. It was MIF so I knew I had to jump on it right then and there.
Well when I got home I noticed the button on one chap was off center which bothered the hell out of me! I tried to get over it since it was such a beautiful bag (and MIF) but the zipper was incredibly wavy as well. And 2 days after wearing it, the leather strips on the sides were starting to wrinkle into huge bumps.
Not to mention the strap was so sharp, I felt like it was going to cut my shoulder!
I had to return the bag sadly
I'm not sure if a monogram version would be better in terms of strap comfort but it's always so rainy here in S Florida.
I am so disappointed in the quality, guys. I was so looking forward to this bag!
