I just called LV and spoke to a Client Services rep who told me that the zipper on the inside pocket is a new change to the Speedy 25 for sure but not the 40. WOW! I suppose they don't think it's needed for the 40. There is a fair amount of sagging of the side of my Speedy that has the inside pocket when something is in it. I suppose it's not such a big deal as it is in the smaller hags. I will love to see if they decide to update the 40 with this zipper pocket.
Interesting. I was on the phone with CS for hours and the swore the zipper didn't exist smh! Hopefully they're wrong about the 40 as well
I wonder if it's because they are short staff and have a lot of part time help because of the holiday... When I was in the boutique I heard most of the stores are getting help from the NYC stores and area bigger stores.
Yeah maybe. I went to the boutique today during my lunch break and the store was packed!
When I spoke to the CS I explained to her that someone with a 25B had the zipper and I didn't in my 40B. She told me she had to speak to a manager or whatever she called them. She came back and told me that it is a new development for the Speedy but not the 40.
I didn't think to ask what other sizes. We shall see soon I guess.
I know the regular speedy 30 has a zipper too so I would assume they will at them to the 40. I found the CS doesn't always know best.
Aww Damn!! Now, I'm a little worried. I would like the latest update in my bag. I guess I should call back and see if someone else has different more updated information. DAG!
When did you purchase your handbag? I think you should go back to the store and have them look for one with a zipper.
Maybe go to another store? Or return it now and repurchase when they get the new one in?
So they are both same size in width but length the 25 is like inch shorter than my 30. My measurements might be slightly off though. The kids were jumping on the bed [emoji85][emoji85]
Here are two speedy b 25 next to each other. The one with the zip is substantially smaller. I can fit my iPhone in the one without the zip. Which one would you choose?
IMO If you are going to utilize the pocket then get the one with bigger pocket. I never really use mine. I do like having the extra zipper inside though feels like it makes the bag more substantial. Tough decision are you leaning towards one more than the other? Maybe put all your stuff in it and see how it sits with the stuff in the pocket.
I'm so confused! I know these are first world problems but I can't decide.
I think it makes sense to have a bigger pocket. However that being said when I had my speedy 30 I never put anything in that pocket besides sometimes my headphones.
Im leaning towards either. I like bits and pieces of both.
The one without the zipper is MIF wish is a bonus and also the color of the canvas is more cool toned which I like. However, the leather handles have wrinkles and are matte which is a negative. The pocket is bigger which can be a positive
The one with the zipper is the newest model which is a pro. The leather hands don't have much wrinkling and the leather is shiny which is a plus. The color of the canvas which is warm tone which I don't love but don't mind that much either. The pocket is smaller which is a con and the zipper doesn't seem as smooth.
In the end what would you choose? A MIF without a zipper but a larger pocket or a MIU with a smaller zippered pockets?
