The one without the zipper is MIF wish is a bonus and also the color of the canvas is more cool toned which I like. However, the leather handles have wrinkles and are matte which is a negative. The pocket is bigger which can be a positive

The one with the zipper is the newest model which is a pro. The leather hands don't have much wrinkling and the leather is shiny which is a plus. The color of the canvas which is warm tone which I don't love but don't mind that much either. The pocket is smaller which is a con and the zipper doesn't seem as smooth.

In the end what would you choose? A MIF without a zipper but a larger pocket or a MIU with a smaller zippered pockets?

Well.. MIF if you can but I don't go crazy looking for one. It's the luck of the draw. Lol. I just looked at the photos in the other thread. The handles are pretty wrinkled but it's on the bottom so if you could live with that then keep it.
I don't mind the MIU as long as I don't have to see the cloth tag. I don't think either will lose value being made in one or the other.
You could keep the MIF with the bigger pockets and then see if you could get the handles replaced if they get worst before the year is up. That's probably what I would do.

I never use the pockets though and I don't want to have to deal with replacing the handles because I'm pretty sure they will tell me wrinkling is normal... Idk I think I'm leaning towards the MIU. I rather have the newest updated model for the same price..

I though it over and I'm keeping my Speedy B 40 with the non zippered pocket. I spoke to a CS when I got home from work and she confirmed that in the Neiman Marcus they had a Speedy B 40 with the zippered pocket and I could go there and swap my bag out. But you know what, I thought it over and I said it's not that serious. I will be getting another Speedy Mon Monogram and that will have the zippered pocket so when to keep the classic (as classic as it is considered with the new pocket NM version out) Speedy B 40 as is.

Then I log on to this site and this thread and I see that I made the right decision. I am actually going to be using the pocket when I carry my bag proudly tomorrow. My tiny items fit and It's good so I'll keep what my DH bought for me. I'm good with the "Old Model" LOL!!

Everyone is entitled to have their own opinion and at the end of the day it's your money, your bag and your decision. It's all about personal preference and what makes you happy! You actually use your pocket to put little things inside so having the non zip was the best decision for you. I don't use my pocket so I'm leaning towards getting the zip pocket. It's all about preference. At the end of the day you're happy and it worked out for you and I'm glad it did :)

Its so hard when we can not get all of them at once [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] I had my Birthday couple weeks ago, and I was supposed to get a LV bag, a gift from my hubby, but I keep changing my mind... Oh my Speedy B 40, what a phenomenal bag! I just love this thing! It fits all my items perfectly. The only thing I'm having trouble with is the collapsing of the bag on itself when in use.

Does anyone use a bag organizer with their Speedy's? My items fit in this bag fine without having the need to have them organized so far, but I'm thinking a bag organizer can help the bag retail a structure like shape when I carry it.

What do you guys think?
