So no charms no twillies no decoration? I feel the same way and yet am contemplating putting something on a purist bag like the Margaux - not sure what’s happening

I started… it might look cute - or horrendous. I will knit two slits for the handles, might be a good cover for greedy hands given that it’s a fairly open tote?

Has anyone here purchased the Margaux (or similar bag) in saddle leather ? How has the wear and tear been? I am trying to design between saddle and pebbled leather - pebbled leather I know is more resilient, but saddle leather looks more luxe and I understand holds its shape better (?). The only thing that’s holding me back from saddle is the scratches - just how easily does it scratch ?

Me! Me! Me! (Sorry ) The pebbled leather is beautiful but feels a bit dead if you know what I mean? The saddle is sumptious and wonderful. It does scratch so it’s more a patina question, but it is so amazing looking and smelling. Also it’s leather lined which was important to me (the others are canvas lined), and stands up better. Posting a pic of the grain leather for comparison.

Thank you this is super helpful! I had the same impression of the pebbled- do you have a photo of your saddle leather bag you’d be able to share please ? I’d just like to see how it wears over time

I haven’t had her out much so this is the best I have right now. It’s wonderful, the leather. Deep, if you know what I mean.
