Hello,

Does anyone here know if The Row uses different kinds of grained calf skin leather for their bags - specifically, for Banana Slouchy bag? I saw this bag in person in London once, and had an impression that it's made of very thick grained leather, kinda similar to Celine Seau Sangle. But when I ordered it online, it seems somehow different - thinner, the texture of the grains is more 'flat' and it looks more matte...? I don't know, I'm not sure if there's any difference. The photos on the internet are not helpful at all, very difficult to understand. Was hoping if anyone knows more.

This is mine - it's about a year old, more or less. I was carrying it yesterday so I took this quick photo for you to compare the leathers.

I don't know the history of the leathers used in Slouchy Banana bags but I've owned quite a few bags by The Row over the years and different leathers have been used on the same style bag over time, so you might have seen a different leather from the bag you received. Someone else here might have an older Slouchy Banana.

I love this little bag and I reach for it all the time. The leather is divine. It's quite thick and soft and improves with use IME.

Would anyone have an opinion on the Margaux 15 vs 17? Trying to decide between the two
I tried on a 17 recently and while I love, love, love the style it doesn't really have a place in my daily life. It's _very_ large and seems more suited to use as a work-to-gym bag or short haul weekender. It might be OK as a daybag on a tall person (not me) but if and when I finally get one it will be the 15 size.

HTH. But gorgeous bag in any combo!

What are everyone’s thoughts on the half moon bag? Is it a classic or do you think it’s going to be out of style next year ?
I absolutely love the cool shape and simplicity of the design and am actively looking for the Acorn tan colour, which seems to be sold out. Not sure how I feel about the longevity, but I know I'd get a lot of wear out of it and love using it, at least for a while and possibly for a long time. Right now the price is good but if the new season prices go up a lot I may reconsider.
