So it is still weapped and we are going away for a few days and I am planning to use it to work next year but here are some previews. The leather shocked me in its quality: soft, but sturdy, it has a depth to it somehow? Cannot really explain but seemed much richer than the soft Margaux versions with pebbled leather (to me!). The red is a tomato red (less orange than in the pictures), as I said not my color but as bag somehow timeless and yet a statement…

Thank you - I am still scared to use her even though I am totally not precious with my bags… also: what do you think about some pink accent (charm or fur or…?)? But might break her in „pure“. This was supposed to be the reward for getting my PhD through a lot of hard times 4 years ago, then for getting my first job in academia (late starter) three years ago - and now I just was promoted and got tenure so NOW this was meant to be!

Oh wow congratulations on your professional accomplishments! What a lovely reward for yourself!

I'm a big fan of using a bag charm to add a touch of personalization and decoration, especially to minimalist bags.

I love the purple/chartreuse combo you are wearing with the tomato bag, definitely room for a splash of pink.
Congratulations on all the giant accomplishment.

You are not bragging at all!! Congratulations on your accomplishments, that's a hard and long road and you should definitely celebrate it!
Love the red so much. I think when you're ready, certainly try some pink or other colours on it too, if you feel like it! It is also beautiful on its own! I dream of owning a Row bag one day! And happy holidays!

You may want to call one of The Row stores or the corporate HQ in New York and talk to a bag specialist. A couple of years ago The Row had a shoulder strap for the larger Margaux that connected to the carry handles. It was similar to the Hermes Lindy shoulder strap. Good luck and please post pics if you pick one up.

I couldn’t find anything about the strap you mentioned - any chance that you may have saved a screenshot, a magauine page or sth like that? Since the lindy has the handles in a different orientation my brain is unable to imagine that for a bag like the Margaux…but would love to see it!
