if the Yxxxxx code refers to the texture of the leather then it shouldn't be a metallic dark red : the Y of the purple/blue black we know they're metallics is
Y04635 while the Y ofthe dark red is unfortunately different: Y 04844

there was this pic posted before of a reissue(sorry I have forgot who has first posted it)which looks something like dark/brownish red -on my monitor at least-the leather looks like being distressed but not sure if it is metallic

she actually said that since the codes changed they will call different sizes in the 2.55 bags eg 35,32, 28 whatever their length in cm is. I don't know though how it will apply to countries using inches!:graucho:quote]

btw, my SA emailed me the new measurements for the 2.55 bags. i think it's kind of confusing, but hopefully it more useful than not to see this. inches are provided followed by cm. (mon, maybe you can verify the "new" size for 227.) i don't know if the new sizes are exactly correct either so use with caution! :P

BTW Swanky can we put the above info Shopping247 posted in the Library for future reference?I think it's very helpful since it's got the size measurements in iches as well as in centimetres on both old and new reissues and classic bags!thanks:smile:

hi envanzine !I can't make it out either but it should be either navy or purple met since the light silver met is in the middle..
also there is a darker silver released this year(not the same as last year's dark silver though) and I would have said that's the colour of the 3rd bag but it's not mentioned -they only give the codes and colours of the dk navy/purple and lt.silver metallics above

how did the dark red compare to the bordeaux :love: ~ in the pic smooth posted on the previous page? & how was the green? ~ can u compare it to anything else? ~ i am being pressed for a decision to confirm my order ~ apparently everyone is getting those sizes & colours so i'm not going to be able to get my navy, green & dark red 24cm bags ~ the size nearest to my existing flaps ~ trouble is ~ they don't have any pics either ~ so i'm being asked to order colours which i haven't seen yet ~ :s

btw ~ i still think the bag above looks metallic ~ it probably just is the lighting 'tho

re: the pic of the girl holding the bag, couldn't that be the lighting that's making it look red? as if you look at the chain, it's also got reddish hues (as well as the floor that she's lying down on).

here's what i was sent yesterday ~ this is what the boutiques here are getting ~

note the sizes & colours they originally reserved for me! ~ not what i asked for! ~ i asked for sizes nearest to the last flap they sold me ~ 24cm ~ :nuts: we got it sorted out ~ but obviously if i take the bigger ones then that's another £1400+ !!! ~ anyone got any good bean recipes?!! ~ :lol:

i was advised that all the London boutiques are getting the same sizes & colours ~ def no purple. ~ can't speak for selfridges as far as other colours are concerned b/c i've only asked about red, green & navy in the 24cm sizes ~ & none of the stores are getting them either ~ :sad: ~ i want to stress that this is the info i have received from my respective SA's @ the different stores & boutiques ~ as @ Feb 11th ~ Harrods still didn't know what they were getting 'tho with the help of a sales manager their SA's do now know what a metallic re~issue looks like! ~ :rolleyes: ~ lol! ~ :flowers:
