Will do. It’s very frustrating. But (at least for now) I’m optimistic I’ll get a refund. The ring is probably is on a counter somewhere or taken by an employee. I purchased the item online from a bricks and mortars TRR location, and then it was packed and shipped to me. If you buy from TRR and it comes from a warehouse, there is video recording record (supposedly) of the boxing.
Not sure how it works from bricks and mortars locations.

The box did not include a receipt and valuation report as is standard in these types of purchases.

OMG! Please keep us posted. I just had a similar issue with them on the consignment side. It was a very very nice unsual expensive sweater and it kept saying it was processing. Then they said it was in photography. It never did appear they didn't want to pay me out but I finally got it resolved. I hope you get it resolved.

Good news. I received my refund. I do have allies at TRR because I sell and purchase a lot through the site. And this ring was a small purchase.

One thing I did notice as I went to discard the box. The brown paper tape at the bottom of the box was opened and resealed with clear plastic tape and the secondary UPS label on top of the plastic tape. So someone at TRR or UPS opened the box, removed the ring, and resealed it. I only noticed it today.

Oh I am thrilled that you got your refund. I think being a buyer and seller helped my case get resolved as quickly as it did. Although I will also say tenacity played a major part as well. In any case I am glad they made it right. While its a long shot I hope whoever did it gets caught at some point.

Yikes, but I’m glad to hear TRR made it right without too much fuss. They seem to have tightened up their operations to some extent but it can still be a mess. I confess still look though

Is the "Return Guarantee" something new? I noticed it on a lot of items lately and an item in my cart had a return guarantee offered on it for $427. I assume it's based on the price of the item you're buying. Have they decided to not accept any returns unless you've bought the guarantee -- does anyone happen to know more?

Yes, they started towards the end of last year, we were talking about it here.

It looks like it may only be a new option for handbags, which used to be final sale. Other items are still returnable without any special additional policy, and it looks like items with a 40%+ discount (also final sale) do not have this additional policy option.

Yes, I dont know why someone should have to pay to return an item. If there is something wrong with it or it was not as described there should be no issue. I think this shows a lack of accountability on their part. They should tighten things up and revisit some of their policies that would be a better way to go and then this would not be necessary. Just my opinion.

Has anyone had any experience purchasing a Birkin or Kelly from TRR? Typically I would avoid them for handbags, but the prices are very good for the bag I am eyeing.. I only see one post on here from someone who said they believed the birkin they ordered from them was a fake :(

Update: my guesses seem to be confirmed by checking some items. It seems to only apply to otherwise final sale handbags, and the purchase price seems to be capped around 5K USD. Items over that price seem to not have the option.
