WOW the old one was terrible!Officially joining the club today as I just got my PM mono delivered! This was an exchange as the previous one I got had a couple of issues that I couldn't live with and I bought my PM from online. The previous one I received was Made In Spain. The gold hardware on the strap was scratched and the flowers on the strap were not centered. The end of the straps was also poorly aligned. Seems like some random part of the canvas was cut and added to just complete the ends on the strap. You can refer to the pictures what I mean. The canvas was also dull in my opinion but I do note that some said theirs was dull as well so that didn't really bother me. But the lock on the canvas was not centered in between the flowers and that bothered me. The rest of the bag was actually quite good but because of the flaws I have stated above, I went to ask for an exchange. Pictures attached are the ones I took of the previous one. Yes I do agree that the reverse one is better made. But somehow the color combination didn't seem to work that well with my normal outfit, compared to the mono one....
Agree, i love reverse pm but some how color of the bag doesn't work well. I changed the strap to mono pm strap and problem solved
Mono still available on US site. (I ordered one this morning, and it’s already been shipped!)
Since events are all canceled where I live, bars and restaurants are almost vacant, and people are choosing to shut in at home, I decided to pass the time and amuse myself by accessorizing and taking a glamour shot of my PM before venturing out to run an errand. (I don’t usually like doodads on my bags, but there’s something about this one that makes me put twillies, bag charms and fun straps on it. Maybe I sub-consciously think it lacks visual interest because I had really had my heart set on the reverse mono?) The red bandouliere strap is fun, but I prefer the original because it’s easier to wear cross body. I was initially disappointed by how dull the canvas on my bag is when I received it, but I came to like it (and it matches the mono canvas side of the bandouliere strap really well, which is a bonus), but venturing onto this thread made me second-guess it yet again, at least for a minute. There are so many complaints/anxieties about this bag that it’s sometimes difficult just to chill and enjoy it. Honestly not sure this will end up being a permanent part of my collection since I go back and forth on it so often. Liking it for now. It’s certainly an easy, lightweight, hands-free bag.

Random question....the last couple of days I noticed that the LV US site had the mono version in stock, so I ordered one immediately. I received it today (Made in France!) but I noticed a slight odor coming from the inside. Best way to describe it, is a slight chemical smell. I have never had an LV bag have this before (have Neverfulls and Speedys) though this is the first bag I have had with the microfiber lining. Does anyone know if this is normal? I am figuring it might be do to being in storage for a bit, but not sure. Thanks for your help!
I'm glad to read these comments about the fainter print. I just ordered mine in mono, and don't want to be surprised by it! I will have to compare it to my Odeon and Bosphore pochette.
Yes, right now both the mono and reverse are available on the US site. Very much wishing I had been patient and waited for the reverse before I bought my mono PM; wishing even more that the present uncertainty wasn’t putting an absolute halt to all discretionary spending in my household. I am so, so bummed (obviously, there are bigger things to be bummed about right now, but when things return to normal in a few weeks I’ll sing a little dirge for the Bag That Got Away.)
I purchased a reverse last Friday. Made in Italy from 10th week of 2020. It's much better than the US version. I'm happy to receive one from Europe, but um.. it's Italy! lol. Will be keeping it and returning US!
Just looking at the pics the one MIU looks better IMO, the reverse print is less fainted and the alignment of the print is also better.
Congrats on getting one! Yes it's normal, I've had that with a few bags. Just let it air and it will disappear
