So I got the PM with the braided handle. It arrived today. The good news (I think) is that it is made in Paris. I really do love the size and the braided handle. The bad news is, the little LV charm seems low quality, almost as if it is going to tear at any moment. What do you think? Should I return? Or bring back to the store to show them?
Same boat, but I think I'm keeping mine. It seems all of the newer models have a faint canvas print. I've been trying to figure out why LV made this change. It's seems deliberate, and I already understand how all canvas batches are different and not the same. But, the fact that pretty much 99% of the photos I can find of new PM owners show this, it's all batches.
Try to think on it awhile before you meet the time limit to return it. I'm seeing the PM inventory readily available to purchase via web if you later change your mind.

I have already texted my SA about this and she mentioned that we can compare the canvas to any new ones that arrive at the store(she is extremely nice and patient). My only concern is that over time would the faint print on the monogram fade away. Some people on You tube who purchased their bags 2 months ago mentioned that the canvas on their bags is really soft and squishy but mine is kinda matted and stiff. Is yours like that too?

Oh, you have a nice SA, that's great she'll help you compare. I saw a Youtube video about a MIF and MIU comparison where the bag was either firm or squishy. Mine is on the matte/semi-firm side, which I don't mind and it's MIU, it feels comfortable in-between firmness. Mine also has a few other issues, which I don't want to pick apart, but they're there and I'll accept them. It's the faded canvas print that is the main concern, and I'm also wondering what happens in the future, like 2 years or 5 yrs later... I'm hoping other people can help us answer this?
I would think that they can replace the LV charm easily and you can keep your MIF bag. Bring it in!
Don’t settle. Return the dull canvas. I got four mono PMs before I found three more in the store that were bright. Returned two, exchanged one for a good one, and now I have a mono and a reverse PM that are perfect.
I read your earlier story and happy you got a good one. I'm not sure I can go through that because I order online but do returns in-store, and would be tired (and a bit embarrassed) if it took too many tries. I could ship it back instead but LV takes forever to confirm receipt and it makes me a little nervous waiting.
I did all online shopping until I ended up striking gold early in the morning at KOP. I sent one back via UPS and picked up three in store, then went back a few days later after cogitating. No embarrassment, and my CA was super cool about it because he couldn’t believe I got so many, including my reverse. (Thanks, tPF!) He is probably my new go-to CA going forward. Granted, the return/refund process took a while and there were four PMs on my credit card at one point.

Last night around 6pm pst, mono and reverse were both available! I got reverse! Finally! But with the price increase! Oh well.
