How strange, I ordered PM reverse online and mine was made France with a date code of 49th week in 2019 and it definitely doesn’t look like that with the extra canvas/bubbling. The recent posts on this forum make me think I got rather lucky with the one I received. Maybe quality control was slipping towards the end of 2019 because Louis Vuitton was producing more for the holidays.

I was seeing an ad for a Louis Vuitton “discount outlet” with a rendering of a PM for $199. I was stunned and did a quick search to see if anyone else had mentioned these ads and saw the post I quoted. I’m no longer seeing the ad in question- it’s replaced by ads for Bloomingdales and Old Navy now - so I’m hoping it was just a result of my google searches (have been looking at lots of images of the reverse PM because I’m considering it for my next purchase).

The week surprised me, thought it would be later in the year or 2020.
Everything seems to be fine inside and out.
Stitching seems even, alignment good, glazing good!
Material inside seems ok- on left side doesn't seem as well fitting as right but nothing glaring!
I guess I haven't seen the Reverse in a long time. I thought the canvas would be brighter and not a dull look.

Hey guys! So glad I found you all! I’m ready to join the club if you’ll have me! Quick run down of my PM experience.
-bought a reverse PM in November and quickly noticed a funny chemical smell when I opened the box. Not that yummy leather Louis Vuitton smell like with my speedy so that was weird and a bit disheartening.
-clasp wouldn’t open easily at first but then it would pop open randomly after the first week I had it
-back zipper was scratched already.
-the straw that broke the camel’s back was a noticeable pealing right where the clasp was on the glazing.
SO I cried and took it back.
Made me so sad to see it go but I couldn’t justify keeping it. I knew I probably wouldn’t be lucky enough to score another reverse PM, so I exchanged it for a empreinte noir PM and I LOVE IT. I’m not kidding you when I tell you that the clasp immediately felt “different” with the way it closed. It was strange. Like the click sound it made was so much better and it just seems more secure. I don’t know how to better describe it. With that all said I’m happy with my noir. I loved the reverse and still miss it but I’m glad my current bag is in much better shape.

Enyoy your PM ! I'm waiting for my PM in Tourterelle - after I have had Problems with the quality of the PM in marine rouge, I hope that the Tourterelle will be in good condition..
What happened with your first PM? I’m always on the lookout for issues with my noir PM.
I had my PM Mono last Nov 2016...then after a year and a half,the dreaded canvas cracking happened on the inside flap of
my bag...i take it in store and it was deem as defective and cannot be rapair so they offer me an "exchange" for any other bag except for the PM because the CA told me it is known fault for that particular bag and it could happen again...so they wont allow me to get another PM...

The leather started to crack at the inside of the flap. I have used the bag maybe 10-12 times and I‘m very careful with my bags.

Oh no! Please please tell this issue has been resolved. If this happens I may have to write LV off. These bags are too expensive to have them cracking after only a few uses or a few years. I have a pochette accessories mono I bought in 2004 still in great condition. No cracking or peeling and I’ve used this bag hundreds of times. So what has changed?? It’s sad to see all of this happening.

I have bought LV since 30 years, and the quality is gone down more and more.
