Like I promised, a few comparisons during the daylight. It is definitely taupe color. I am seriously questioning this one. I have my Majestueux in Verone in suhali leather, so I am not sure if I "need" this little one as well... (Do we really need so many bags? Of course not! But we WANT them, right?:graucho:) I also passed on Cherry Berry color, too similar with Scarlet, Cherise and Freesia IMHO. (But of course I would love to have all of them, but I have a very nice palette of colors already.) I will see, my better-half says: "Think about it!", what in other words means "Keep it!" Oh, decisions, decisions...

After stalking the Pochette Metis for a long time and debating which to get I finally decided on the Noir Empreinte. I love the elegance of it and the fact that it’s so light and versatile.
This was ordered for me from a new batch and I have to say the leather is soft and looks really luxe. My SA is also so good at checking the bags when they come in and only selling pieces that are properly made. Love it!

Just wondering if anyone here has the PM in the old canvas and has experienced cracking but was able to get a replacement with the new canvas? I know I'm overreaching here but doesn't hurt to ask.

I got the bag back in 2015 when it was barely popular. Noticed the glazing issue about a year ago but left the bag alone. I didnt do anything about it right away because the closest LV store is pretty far from me and this was the only monogram bag out of 7 that has ever had a glazing issue so i thought it was ok to leave alone. Recently, I decided to sell the bag and noticed two small cracks in the canvas where the flap creases over. I'm gutted. I just think it's a bit unfair that they came out with a whole new canvas and redesigned the glazing in the new bags and those who bought the bag early are stuck with the flaws.

I am not sure what is the current LV policy regarding this, but give it a try, call CS and ask them. You can get a replacement or a store credit.

WOW. That embossing is beautiful!!!!!!

I am not sure what would be the basis for a legal action in such case. Could you specify the cause of action?
Unfair profits. Made in certain year of LV products has melting/glazing issue bc they used same chemical/glaze. If a company sell products after or before knew the products has poor quality, they have to take an action. Especially LV, clients pay a fortune to buy a bag which means they agreed to get a higher quality of products. However, the bag did not meet the quality as promised. In the meantime, LV has been making profits with this bags.

I believe the most important part before getting too emotional or excited about such idea is to break down the cause of action and you will see if you have a case. If you can prove every element of cause of action, you know the answer.

I wanted people to aware that it was not their fault to get glazing issue. It was not because of peoples storing condition, the bag meant to be melting at the very first place. When I brought my bag to LV, they told me they were aware of it. I was wondering, then why they did not do recall?

Maybe because most of the customers came on their own?

check this thread https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/rumour-re-louis-vuitton-recall.998968/, Chances are good that LV either gives you a new bag ore store credit.

If issues arise with any bag - it should be brought to an LV for evaluation.
Last year, late December - early January client services called us and asked if we still had a specific bag that we purchased. We did and we were told to bring the bag in for evaluation. It was for the Métis’ Hobo in Empreinte. I hadn’t used it so I didn’t even realize the glaze had indentations and was soft/putty like and “melting”
Long story short they offered me an exchange and since the bag was discontinued they allowed me the original price plus tax which I thought was great because I wasn’t even using it anymore it was purchased 2015.
