After a year of searching through LV stores, I finally got lucky and found my Pochette in monogram online on the Dutch LV website!

When I talked to a LV agent on the phone a couple weeks ago, he told me that from now on, all the Pochettes would be the new improved 2019 version. Can someone tell me how I can tell I received this new version?

The canvas flap (on the inside) extends further past the top of the back slip pocket

My card was charge maybe a week or 2 later and no one called me to let me know that PM is ready for pick up. I just got a receipt on my email. Anyways no biggie, I went to the store to pick it up. I was in a rush so I didn’t really inspect the bag. When I opened it, it looks perfect and to my surprise it’s made in France! I know it’s really not a big deal but For me LV made in France is just extra special. But is it me or the bag smells funny? I have the favorite and backpack and they smell like leather nice. But this PM smells like chemical. I was watching how to spot a fake and they said fake LV smells like chemical. But I got this in the store, so it confuses me. Is there an instance where someone return a fake at the store? Aren’t the associate able to spot it? I don’t know maybe I’m just paranoid.

also it didn’t bother me at first but the more I stare at it, my OCD kicks in. Does this looks crooked to you? I’m posting pics of filled vs nothing inside.

My PM is made in USA. I love it. Also my reverse is made in USA. Recently I bought another mono and it was made in Italy. It smelled so chemically like maybe they tried to clean it! Even the strap it just reeked of an odd smell. I returned that bag. My made in USA is perfect!

I recently got two PM made in France and they look great and do not have any chemical smell. Previously, I had gotten PM made in the USA and they all had issues - glazing smeared on the canvas or on the vachetta tab on the side or mis-alignment. So, I returned them all. And was so disappointed.

One difference between the made in USA and made in France bags is the placement of the date code inside the pocket. They face in different directions. Not sure if it's intentional.

Also, the made in France ones were produced in week 43 and week 45 of this year. Hopefully, I will have no issues!!!!

Well mine is great! And I don’t even think about date codes placement so idk.

Hi. Is there anyone of you who has received a PM mono Made in France with a date code that indicates it was made after the 47th week of this year?
I’m asking because my SA told me that since last month all the PM mono have been produced by a single atelier in Italy (European market), and thus it will not be possible to obtain a Made in France.
Any clues? TIA

I got two PM made in France in week 43 and week 45. They arrived over the past 2 weeks.

Thank you very much for your reply.
Mine was Made in Italy 46th week. I brought it back because she had obvious faults (I posted pics in this thread) and lovely TPF members (in LV chat thread) helped me in taking this decision.
My SA told me that it will be very difficult for me to find another one, as there’s only one factory throughout Europe which is manufacturing PM in mono. I really hope it’s not the case. Anyhow .... I really like this bag. Hopefully I’ll find one. Thank you again.
