Although there are a lot of people who have had bad experiences with this bag - I’m sure there are many who have had no problems with this bag - with that being said people still like the aesthetics of the pm and therefore take the chance.

Appologies if this is a bit of an odd question, just want to make sure this is a normal element of the bag but my PM mono arrived yesterday (brought it from the LV website). I absolutely love it but when l open the flap l notice that the two layers of canvas (top of flap and underside) are not completely flat against each other and so when you open the bag you get a slight bumb in the top layer around the handles. Difficult to show in the photos below. I'm guessing this is purposeful as there is leather beneath the handle (sandwiched between the canvas) to hold it in place but just wanted to check. When the bag is closed everything seems to lie pretty flat so l'm guessing it's fine. I just haven't heard anyone mention it before? I absolutely love this bag, it is prettier in person than l expected (don't have a store near me). I just want to make sure there's nothing wrong with it so l can properly enjoy it. Also, due to the known issues with glazing and cracking, if l ever have either problem will l be able to get the bag fixed/exchanged free of charge or is it only during the guarantee period? Sorry for all the questions. Really excited to own my first LV

The canvas behavior is normal.
Also, maybe you want to minimize the bending of the flap like that, it weakens the glazing around the joint area.
Lastly, there is no real warranty period for LV - it's all by discretion of the manager. That said, usually they are quite liberal in dealing with Pochette Metis, considering that I exchanged mine to Empreinte after 3 years LOL.

Just keep your receipt in case of any emergencies and enjoy your bag in good health !

I don't know if you can buy from other countries websites, but l've seen it pop up a few times recently on the UK website at random times.

One just popped up on the US website today! The reverse did as well. They are out there!
I just bought one last week on the website and it was the PM reverse! I followed the what are you stalking thread and some very nice people post when they show as available on the website.
I got lucky and just got one from a Nieman Marcus Louis Vuitton store. I read another thread on here where people said that department store LV's get them in stock more often, so I called and they had it! The sales associate also said that the Rodeo Drive LV has 3 in stock. They're probably gone by now, but worth a shot!
They have been available on line a few times during the last couple of weeks - both the Mono and Reverse (US)
Anybody have peeling issues on the canvas of their PMs? I went to Subway to get my son a sandwich and when I got grabbed my PM noticed a glob of sticky stuff on it. Tried to brush it off but it just got bigger and eventually plopped off. Don't see any damage to the pattern or a lack of sheen in the spot if that makes sense.
