Thank you for catching that. I can't edit my post to correct it. The bag could not be repaired. My glazing started to crack and I took it in and was told wear and tear at the store. I also had a stitch around the back zipper that was missing or popped. So they sent it out for repairs that I was going to pay for but the repair center said it could not be fixed. I was given credit for the current selling price but needed to pick a bag of equal or greater value. They didn't have canvas or black PM's in stock. I wound up looking at other bags and picked a black speedy B. I am sad to see my bag go, but relieved not have the stress of waiting for it to crack. This was my second defective bag - first was melting glazing on a pink ikat neverfull. In both cases, once I knew there were issues, I always felt like I was waiting for the inevitable. I had hoped by going with the leather PM I would avoid cracking canvas and just assumed glazing could be repaired. I think maybe they didn't want to fix the stitch.
This is really frustrating. Thanks for sharing. I hope LV can step up their quality game on PM!!!!

I’m so excited to actually be part of this club now! I just found my reverse PM through Luxcellent and it is in Pristine Condition just as promised! It came just as described, including the smell of the interior from storage. I’m even more thrilled that it was made in late 2018 in Italy. Came with dustbag & box! I would absolutely shop from this seller again!
Indeed an amazing piece! Congrats!

I think it really comes down to the design of the bag. For glazing to crack where the flap opens seems inevitable in the long term. When I was looking for a replacement, a lot of the flap bags were folded leather or canvas flaps not glazed. For those with canvas cracking by the accodian sides, in the past, it was always trimmed with leather. I am thinking a lot more about stuff like this going forward when looking at bags. I just really love the mono PM and keep it on my wishlist...maybe one day I will rejoin the club.

Dear Pochette Metis owners,

Hi !

I plan to buy Pochette Metis in “emprinte” leather as the shoulder strap in ‘emprinte’ is softer than in Mono. I suffer from weak left shoulder and back. Also, which colour is more formal as well as versatile for my son’s graduation i.e. Noir or Marine Rouge?

The essentials that I carry in my bag are full size Sarah wallet, iPhone 7 plus, mini pochette (medicines), 1 lipstick, 1pen, dry facial tissues, wet wipes, 6ring key holder, DE cles (coins) and my reading glasses. Should I downsize to Pallas compact wallet (without S lock); or further downsize to Victorine wallet?

I would really appreciate your practical and logical advice .

Thank you,

White Rose
I would think from your essentials, the metis would be a perfect fit for you. The leather strap would be extremely comfy and u would have an option to carry it top handle should you want to. Or even as a clutch. That tat bit more space can come in handy IMO

Hey everyone! So I got my pm in mono in feb of this year. I used it so much and this was my first bag with vachetta. I pretty much stained it already and now it bothers me. Does anyone know the price to replace the top handle and the pull tab in the front? Or how to clean it? If that’s even possible. I added pictures as well. Thanks!

As the vachetta gets darker, the spots get less noticeable

Wow I’m so sorry to hear this but good to know that LV stands behind their product and gave you a credit towards another bag. A lot of high end companies would place the blame on you, even though you did nothing wrong. Enjoy your new bag!!!
I agree. I have had issues with two of my LV bags, one was replaced and one I got store credit. Now whenever I buy an LV bag, i use it as often as i can incase any issue surfaces, I know I can return it.

I have been lucky with LV service. In addition to my PM getting store credit after 2 years, they gave me credit for my ikat NF and replaced a Clemence wallet twice before giving store credit for another wallet. Initially the store told me wear and tear with the PM only for repairs to determine it was defective. I have had a wallet reglazed after a year at no cost and my 6 ring keyholder reglazed after a few months at no cost. My local store seems to have become more wear and tear focused recently. Years ago, they were more inclined to simply replace a piece.

Can anyone help me out and explain how you know if your Empreinte Noir PM is affected by the “recall” or “defect” or whatever it’s called? I love all of my PMs and would definitely like to know so I can replace that one with the same if necessary. I only see minor marks on the handle, but it doesn’t look like melted glaze looked on my Empreinte speedy when defective. When I called the general number (US) the person I got said they had no clue what I was talking about. Mine is from 2017, right when they came out in Empreinte.

People have received calls from customer service. My noir was from early 2017 and I was told it was not part of the recall. I had sent it in for repairs and was told it was defective and could not be repaired. Your SA should be able to check your purchases to see if they are part of the recall.

Oh, ok. What was wrong with yours that you sent it in? I just see minor dents on the top handle. My speedy actually melted to a shirt I was wearing and had fuzz and fabric imprints lol.

Sadly, my SA left and I’m having awful luck in the past year with ones at the same store.

My bag had developed some minor cracking in the glazing where the flap flexes when you open the bag. I also had a popped stitch on the back zipper pocket. I am not sure why it was deemed defective - my guess is it may have been too labor intensive to fix the stitch. My ikat NF melted. My PM was not melting like my NF. That was a disaster like your speedy.
