Awwwww I'm so sorry! [emoji17][emoji22]

UGH... this is terrible...

What is the spot, I wonder?

Imho, popularity (demand) is no excuse. This is a multi-billion dollar company, they have access to all the best resources, not to mention, technology.

Is it a curse? Never seen so many issues with a handbag. It literally cannot be this hard to produce and [emoji403] a quality PM.

I'm not sure what it is  Bringing it in on saturday for my SA to take a look (he didn't review it first, his manager or something did), but it almost looks like a stain. So weird. Plus two scratch/dings right there too- so something obviously happened right there.

And I totally agree, absolutely crazy to have a company of this size just put out low quality products because something is in high demand. I'd rather wait months and months and have a high quality bag!!!

Okay. Yeah, that is very weird. Anyways, hoping for the best outcome!

And, I'm with you, I'd rather wait months and months too.

This is ridiculous, there are more more people on this thread having to send back their Pochette Metis's than keeping them.
How LV have got the cheek to send out bags like this is beyond me. You would think they would stop production for a while just so they can get their sh*t together.

Surely its costing them more in postage, admin, and repair fees to keep sending them out time and time again.
Mine arrived yesterday and I'm going to open the box tonight after work, not holding out much hope to be honest.

Wondering if you treated the vachetta? Thinking of spraying mine with rain and stain repellent since its new...

I use the white sock method. A damp white sock (only slightly damp) every now and then wiping over the whole strap. It's meant to prevent water marks absorbing and patinas evenly. I Let fully dry before putting away. I have sprayed leather protector spray on other bags in the past with no issues

Hi guys so I have just opened my parcel. Sadly it's going back... Surprise surprise!

It was definitely a returned bag, it was made in Italy on the 16th week. So I guess its been passed around a bit. As there are scratches on the hardware, and the handle isn't lined up perfectly (which I could live with ) it's the scratched hardware that bothers me. Apart from that though, the canvas was lined up well. I have just phoned LV and they are collecting it on Monday.

I'm going straight for a refund as I am certainly not going through this process again, I've no intention of buying another, not with all of the flaws. No one should be stressed and nervous when opening, what is supposed to be a brand new bag. This is supposed to be LUXURY after all!

So sorry to hear that! That's a smart move, I wish I just asked for a refund instead...CS and my SA said that over 1000 people are waiting for exchanges, repairs, or to just purchase the bag! I might not see my replacement for a couple of months!

Awww so sorry:sad:

I absolutely agree.

I don’t blame you for not purchasing another one...well, especially not from the web! Excellent move.

Best,

Wow that was quick! I phoned this PM to return mine and they have asked me to send pictures and then they will decide whether I can return. I have gone for my money back as well.

I'm sorry you got a bad one. I agree with you about not being stressed and nervous when opening what is supposed to be a brand new bag. Buying a bag should be fun.... it's one of the reasons I am so hesitant to order my emp noir. I keep asking myself do I really want $3k (Canadian) worth of stress and hassle? I know the entire time waiting for it to arrive I am going to be stressed out. I haven't heard much bad stuff about the emp line though so that's comforting me a bit.
I am going to LV tomorrow to pick up a repair, if that goes well and they have the noir in store I will check it out and then buy it. Any other tips on what I should look out for (light embossing, pattern, lock, glazing)?

My reverse had a weird "dark spot" and also two areas that looked like they were scratched/dinged (probably won't have the issue with spot on the emp, but could have a scratch or ding like I had). Also I have read elsewhere that some people have issues with the tabs on the sides of the bag where the straps connect being crooked! Good luck :flowers:

So here is my interesting discovery today. I ordered a reverse metis pochette online last week and it arrived Wednesday at my home. I was not excited about it as I thought I might be. Drove two hours to Toronto today to return with a list of other bags I wanted to consider. Stock is super low. I walked in - knowing the regular metis was sold out - and told the SA I wanted to return since I knew I couldn't get the mono metis. He said no - they were sold out. I looked at a few other items and he left and came back carrying a metis in regular mono. Apparently, it was on reserve until yesterday but the person did not come in. I said - isn't there a waitlist? He told me that since I was in store and looking to exchange - I would get priority and the person on the waitlist would get called next after me. I was kind of shocked - and yet, it kind of makes sense.

It seems to me that there should not be any available on the website at all for purchase if there is a waitlist...? Am I crazy? Shouldn't incoming product go out to those on the waitlist, not to any person who just goes to the website?

Returning a Reverse and getting to pickup a Mono in store skipping over the wait list? I don't know if I agree with that either....perhaps. I could see it if it were the same pattern. The procedures on the waitlist seem to be pretty fast and loose.

BUT, the clearest thing to me in this thread is that Louis Vuitton needs better Quality Control on this bag. Perhaps we should be keeping track of the bags that are being returned, and what their imperfections are. It could help others who receive the returned bags to identify issues.
