Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry to all that have been experiencing these defects! I sure hope mine arrives in good condition and isn't a return (but since it was only available for about 30 seconds online, I'm guessing it may be a return, ugh.) I will be looking over it with a fine tooth comb now that so many of you have received flawed ones :( I can't believe that a quality brand like LV would do such a thing!!!! :shocked::shocked::shocked:

IKR! It is shocking and sad. I guess it's just the nature of the beast these days, unfortunately. Imho, flaws and defects really should be rare, or at least one would think. Although, all brands have defects/flaws. But, it seems like QA is non-existent, from what I am seeing.

As for returns...the PM being available for 30 secs online, doesn't necessarily mean it's a return.lol It may or may not be...but you will know, once you get it, also by the date code. The date code is a very good indicator, because this bag does not stay in stock; time it hits online...it sells. So, make sure you look at your date code. Hopefully, you will get a brand new item in excellent condition.

I personally don't mind a return, if it is has NEVER been used. I mean, I don't like that someone had it prior to me, and handled it...but, I can deal with it. I don't want to be able to tell, it was returned.

It's the bag that shows visible sign of wear, and/or visibly-clear defects, which are being shipped to paying customers, is what I can't deal with. This is the reason I chose to stop ordering LV online. It's too much gamble going on, for me. Not to say, this can't happen in the actual store, but at least you see and feel/can inspect before buying...so it's not that not as a big of a disappointment, stress, hassle, etc.
 
Oh my goodness, I would be FUMING if I were you. They seem to be passing these flawed bags around until someone doesn't notice or doesn't care. I would give them a ring or email them, and tell them how disappointed you are with the quality and the service, and maybe they'll source one for you specifically. Good luck, I hope you get a perfect one ASAP.

Thank you, darling! Well, it is little frustrating...so I ordered today Hermes Taurillon Clemence Double Sens 45 Reversible Tote Orange Gold from Fashionphile, to try this brand out, haha! I think it is time to move forward not backwards, I hope I will solve this "Metis aka never ending issue" soon and say: "Au revoir!" to LV for a while.

Guys she's just arrived and I think she is beautiful! Made in France! Here's a few pictures! Let me know if you can see anything off I'm not a pro by any means. TBH as long as the s lock was straight I don't mind about anything else!

Please forgive me, I am a perfectionist, your bag is super beautiful, and all things are matching except the vachetta tab with the flower on the canvas, but as I said I am super detail oriented...Do not be bothered by that and enjoy your bag! Your bag belongs to the best ones (we have seen here so many defected bags...) Keep her and enjoy her!

Oh guys I'm so sad I found a flaw one of the screws holding the s lock in place is wonky! I mean I don't know if bothers me too much as I can't see it until I look but can you guys take a look and tell me what you think? Return or keep?
Hard to tell from pic what exactly you mean BUT your s lock although straight is not centered very well...minor but just pointing out since you asked

Awww so sorry to hear you still haven't found a PM Reverse, that you are completely happy with. Although, I thought you did awhile ago.

I love that you haven't settled, and also love your tenacity in trying to get one that you are completely satisfied with. I can imagine it is frustrating, well, you know after the third PM I received, I stop ordering via the web. I just couldn't take it...

Have you tried acquiring one through the boutique--contacting an SA, putting in a request, or being added to the waitlist? It may or may not take a while (some people seem to get the bag without having to wait a long period of time, I guess it just depends), but you might come out better. But, at the same, it may still have flaws, and I don't know what flaws are absolute deal-breakers for you. I really hope you can find one, that you are completely satisfied with. It is a beautiful bag, and the Reverse has grown on me. I actually want this one too, for Winter, as I think Mono is more Spring/Summery, or at least for me. Although, I do know it can be used all year around.

Anyways, I feel your pain. And, there is nothing wrong with taking a break; a break is always a great thing--in more ways, than one.

Still can't manage to pull the trigger yet on an emp after seeing all these posts. In Canada it's $3k with taxes and I expect better QC than this as this isn't chump change. Like wth LV. Stop passing around these defect bags.

I'm not seeing nearly as many issues on the empreinte bags as there are with the canvas bags. I'm not giving up hope yet [emoji6]

LOL. I hear you. Don't give up hope!

I think Empreinte bags lose the embossing over time, and don't remain structured, that's been the biggest issue I've seen. And, a sag on the PM, probably will not look so good. But, that varies per individual taste or style. Also, there were melting issues, glazing issues, but haven't heard of this happening with the PM.

Beyond gutted. Heart broken. And it's my birthday tomorrow!

Sad to say my reverse, ordered online in the U.K., same day as yours is also going back

Although mine doesn't have the dodgey screw the lock is in exactly the same place as yours, slightly to the right, meaning that the left hand side pattern doesn't match up and the lock is "tricky" to open and close. When closed there's more flap on the left than the right if that makes sense making it very very slightly baggy

Yesterday I was going to keep the bag and live with these little flaws but this morning I've seen sense and
decided the difficult lock will probably cause problems down the line and so it's better to return now.

Not sure I'm doing the right thing, it's a gorgeous bag and I might not get a better one but.....?
