Here's a photo of the LV patch with missing letters on my Infrarouge Pochette Metis - has anyone else experienced this on their bags? Would this bother you? Debating on keeping or exchanging... the bag is perfect on the outside, it's just the patch inside that shows this incomplete defect! Hope you experts can weigh in... thank you!

Personally if the bag is perfect on the outside it wouldn't bother me. That's just my opinion though. If you're thinking in terms of potential resale value I'm not sure how much that would hurt. Ultimately I think only you can decide how much it bothers you.

Thanks so much for your thoughts! It helps hearing what others would do in this situation... the patch does bothers me, but I think I will just accept that tiny defect... especially since the outside of the bag is perfect and the Infrarouge version is so hard to get now!

Hopefully no other customers receive LV bags with the same sort of incomplete name stamp... especially with the prices we are paying...

P.S. Apparently others experience the same mishap... lovely blogger Jerusha talks about her stamping problems in this video - around 7:55 time section...

So just curious about those of you that have been on various waitlists to get your PMs. How long did it take "to get the call?" I called LV direct...via the number they give you on the website and was put on the waitlist about 3 weeks ago. Just wondering if anyone else here got their PM that way, and if so...how long was your wait. I'm starting to think I probably should have called the SA i recently bought my Duomo cross body from (which is technically my "local" store...but I have only gone there once, since I tend to pick up my LVs when I'm traveling.). But...I was sort of delusional a bit in the beginning thinking that I could get the PM when I was in the UK next month...but given the global waitlist for the PM that I have since come to learn about....that sounds like a long shot. Sooo....starting to think it might be faster to call an SA somewhere, rather than wait for the LV Direct waitlist to give me a call. Thoughts, suggestions?

I was on a waitlist for my Mono Pochette Metis and got the call about two weeks after I asked to be placed on the list. I'm now on the waitlist for an Empreinte Pochette Metis (the black one), still waiting for the call.

Oh wow! Thanks so much. My NOIR PM looks exactly like the picture you posted. See attached pic! (note: this was taken directly under my bedroom light so the bottom half looks more washed out, it's not as bad as shown in the pic but you get the idea) I didn't notice in the store because I was just so excited to receive it after a couple weeks of waiting but when I unboxed it at home I definitely noticed. I also saw one in Marine Rouge today with the exact same thing, I think it was done on purpose from all the photos that I have seen and I really trust my SA. She offered to let me know when the next one comes in so I can compare in the meantime if I want to hold off on using the bag... which I am DYING too. BUT if the next one comes in identical, I will feel much better and can enjoy her AND if the next one is better and more deeply embossed than the one I have, even better! All in all, I do feel better that my fellow TPF's noticed the same thing and I didn't get a faulty one. Perhaps all of them come like this due to the nature of the leathers/bag. Just odd that they wouldn't just match it throughout the entire bag....

Will keep you all posted when the next one comes in and I can compare!

Thank you for sharing the photo and please keep us posted :)

I just called LV Paris to ask again for the delay. Today they told me minimum 2 weeks but perhaps 4 ...
I spoke a long time with the seller "like" a friend and because I am a very good buyer. She told me pink is beautiful for a young woman but to girly for 50 years women. ☹️
And I don't need red, navy blue and black.
And there will be certainly other beautiful colour end of summer. Wait and see!!!

You think pink is too young for a woman 50+??
I think you should get what works for you & your style
The bag's design is important & appears to suit a variety of ages
I did see some upcoming releases of the PM that are beautiful! You might like those as well

I'm very interested in the reverse; I wish there was a way to guarantee my friend being able to find one for me when she goes to Rome next month. But given some of the issues, it may be best if I just suck it up and try to get on a US waitlist and pay the USD price in the event of defects (that is, if I'm lucky to get one). Is it true that the reverse has been discontinued?

I hope and think so. But the PM is too square to be pink. It looks like a big pink thing and with all the LV I find it's too much. And I love the empreinte monogramme. I already have a dune Bagatelle , a black Speepy 25 and a grape BB Montaigne.

You have more experience with the line than I do so you are probably right about the color not being appropriate for the PM shape
I was commenting about colors in general. I do not categorize them according to ages
Taking into consideration the the style, pink may not be a good fit.
I'm sure your SA knows your tastes & guides you accordingly. That is very important. The momentary excitement of a purchase fades & you are left with a bag having limited use

I know, I spend my time selling my bags !!!! Pink is a seasonal color, that's why I will be careful this time.

Hey all, I just received my infra rouge PM, but it has some issues that bother me personally and I wanted to see if they improve with use. Firstly, the bag is very stiff, same with the strap (super rigid and stiff), will these soften up over time and with use?

Secondly, the bag will not stand up straight, even with things in it. It will completely flop over to the front or at the least lean forward. I would want to use this as a clutch occasionally and would like it to stand up straight. If the canvas does soften up (like regular LV mono) then I am thinking maybe the bag will flatten at the bottom more and stand up straight after some good use.

Lastly, this is a very shiny version, which I am assuming is the same leather plagued by the bubbling/peeling coating. I noticed on one of the edges in the front there is the slightest bubbling on the flap's edge. That personally doesn't bother me at all, but if this is an indication that the rest of the bag will start to bubble, I am not okay with that considering the quality I usually get with LV and their high prices. Any experienced advice is welcome, thanks!

I will post a photo once I get a chance tonight of the very minor bubbled edge.
