Has anyone else had quality issues with the Louis Vuitton logo/hot stamp/patch inside of their bags?

I got the Infrarouge Pochette Metis bag from the LV Boutique and the "O" and "N" ink letters in the "Vuitton" name are faded off/choppy/not filled in... would this bother you? I didn't notice it until I arrived home. (I believe the LV name patches on the PM Infrarouge are hot stamped, not embossed like the Monogram?)

Curious if anyone else has experienced faded/incomplete LV logo/hot stamps on their brand new bags...? Did you end up keeping your purchase or exchanging? Thanks in advance for the advice!

Personally if the bag is perfect on the outside it wouldn't bother me. That's just my opinion though. If you're thinking in terms of potential resale value I'm not sure how much that would hurt. Ultimately I think only you can decide how much it bothers you.

So I nearly went crazy with deciding first between the pochette metis in reverse and the palm springs mini in mono and than between metis in reverse and black empreinte. 1,5 week after ordering the bag, I got the reverseI was so shocked since CS said it was sold out and they had stopped production. But I am so happy to have it now

I was on same boat, I picked reverse too, very happy with it !!!!

Just joined!! Am so excited to use my PM in Empriente NOIR which I have been waiting a couple weeks since it launched! However, before I use it I just wanted to ask all the PM Empriente owners (especially in NOIR and Marine Rouge), has anyone noticed the embossing on the top and back of the bag (flap and entire back which is one leather piece) is much deeper than the front of the bag??? My SA says she noticed that as well especially for those two colors and all the one's that she has seen are like that. I also noticed it in pictures online as well but very few have evenly distributed embossing.. I'm guessing it is normal? I just want to use the bag but am worried I got one where its really noticeable the level of embossing..

Yes! Definitely. I was the first on the list for noir and I was very underwhelmed by it. The embossing was very flat on the front of the bag, especially corners. I rejected it and went with mono canvas.

So just curious about those of you that have been on various waitlists to get your PMs. How long did it take "to get the call?" I called LV direct...via the number they give you on the website and was put on the waitlist about 3 weeks ago. Just wondering if anyone else here got their PM that way, and if so...how long was your wait. I'm starting to think I probably should have called the SA i recently bought my Duomo cross body from (which is technically my "local" store...but I have only gone there once, since I tend to pick up my LVs when I'm traveling.). But...I was sort of delusional a bit in the beginning thinking that I could get the PM when I was in the UK next month...but given the global waitlist for the PM that I have since come to learn about....that sounds like a long shot. Sooo....starting to think it might be faster to call an SA somewhere, rather than wait for the LV Direct waitlist to give me a call. Thoughts, suggestions?

I have the Noir which I bought about 2 weeks ago. That's the same impression I got, that the top piece and of course back piece is deeper embossed than the little front piece. It was only noticeable if I really studied it and I decided it wasn't a big enough of a deal or that obvious. I'm enjoying her

Don't give up, and you can be on multiple waitlist's. If one comes in after you've gotten yours it will go to someone else in a nano second.

Thanks! Sounds like it might be time for me to try and start to build a relationship with an SA..LOL And...as you said....no one is likely to be bothered if I get on multiple lists.

If you had a good experience with the SA who helped with your Duomo purchase then I would contact them. If you don't hear anything by the time you're in the UK then check the stores there in the off chance they have one available for purchase. I also tend to get LV's when traveling because I think of them as trip memories as opposed to traditional souvenirs but I have an awesome SA at my "local" store that I like to work with as well.

Yes...the SA was very good. Super helpful and attentive. Lots of suggestions but not pushy. He gave me his card at the end so I will get it out of my wallet and reach out. And yes......one of the reasons I get my LVs when traveling. When I buy on work trips it is usually because I'm overseas and it is just plain cheaper so I tell myself it is stupid not to buy while I'm there. LOL

Oh wow! Thanks so much. My NOIR PM looks exactly like the picture you posted. See attached pic! (note: this was taken directly under my bedroom light so the bottom half looks more washed out, it's not as bad as shown in the pic but you get the idea) I didn't notice in the store because I was just so excited to receive it after a couple weeks of waiting but when I unboxed it at home I definitely noticed. I also saw one in Marine Rouge today with the exact same thing, I think it was done on purpose from all the photos that I have seen and I really trust my SA. She offered to let me know when the next one comes in so I can compare in the meantime if I want to hold off on using the bag... which I am DYING too. BUT if the next one comes in identical, I will feel much better and can enjoy her AND if the next one is better and more deeply embossed than the one I have, even better! All in all, I do feel better that my fellow TPF's noticed the same thing and I didn't get a faulty one. Perhaps all of them come like this due to the nature of the leathers/bag. Just odd that they wouldn't just match it throughout the entire bag....

Will keep you all posted when the next one comes in and I can compare!

Awww... I kept going back and forth between mono and empriente but I decided on empriente because I need to replace my Celine Nano in black which was giving me issues. Crossing my fingers the next one is better otherwise, I'll just get over it and use it cuz I do love it!

I called the client services online number and they added me to the waitlist for the monogram pm, its a 3month waitlist. I personally don't mind since I would like to use it more for the fall... But I did get on the waitlist at my local holt renfrew LV, and I am 7th on the list for a rose poudre empriente pm. But who knows how long that will be! Ah well! If its mean to be, it'll happen!
