Just joined this club. Usually a Hermes, Chanel and Goyard girl with the odd YSL. I have one long standing and often used on holidays pochette that was a gift. I have been going back and forth on this LV bag, not sure if I loved it or not, but when I tried it in store I loved it...and just in time for the tail end of summer in .Sydney..and first leather LV bag purchase

One way to see if you might have received a returned bag is to look at the date code. Since these are in high demand, the week of production in the date code should be very recent if you get a new bag. Mine was made in the same week in which I ordered it, so I am pretty sure it was not a returned bag.

Thanks for sharing this. I've always wondered about mine and after seeing your post, I checked and very happy to see that it was produced 10 days prior to the day that I got it. [emoji3]. (Factoring in the shipping time to my country from France)

That's interesting [emoji848] I ordered one online and returned it as it had a mark on the top handle, it was made about 3 weeks before!

No problem by the time I've meticulously checked the bag over, I will make a good quality controller! . Although I think I will be able to live with some flaws, but not quality issue ones that effect the durability and function of the bag itself.

I like this bag, but I am holding off till the Empreinte Leather comes out. Does anyone else think they would want the Empreinte?

I've always like empriente, I have the mazarine in empriente. But I would prefer this PM in canvas as I find that due to the design, empriente version would be heavier... and it would soften over time and thus would it retain the shape?
I also think that the Germaine somewhat reminds me of the PM in empriente...
But of course need to see it in person to know for sure! I might change my mind if I see it...haha.

I'm looking forward to seeing the PM in empriente but I'm also worried it will look like the St. Germaine, which I'm not really fond of. I like that the PM is a fairly structured bag so I hope it doesn't soften too much. I really want an empriente bag, especially in marine rouge so I'll be kinda sad if I don't like the PM. If all else fails I'm just going to get it in regular mono or hold off until another LE comes along that I like.

I think it'll look beautiful at first, but I don't think it's a good choice for retaining shape. I envision it sagging at the top, especially if carried by the handle. and if the inside is textile or microfiber it'll be even worse.. no internal support for the leather. outside leather + inside textile = sagging. but guess we'll need to wait about a year to see the first round of them get sold off, lol

As of right now, it's sold out online again.

Agree with you totally. Need to see how LV try to maintain the shape in empriente.... design-wise.

My mazarine in empriente was beautiful and stiff when new. After a few wears..... the side which hangs near the hip starts to indent accordingly inward. I love my bags to retain their shapes and thus when I see this.... it means I need to stuff it and store it and keep it...
If you like your leather bags to soften and mould accordingly to the way you carry... then I guess PM in empriente would be good.... it falls near the hips, for sure it will soften and bend at the side over time.
Just my thoughts... and I agree we need to wait one year on for some comments/review on this...

I imagine it will be like the fascinante which is a discontinued LV line. But not as much embossing, I bet they just have the flap with embossing and the rest plain leather.

Here's the picture that AAdams shared awhile back on the 2017 Bags thread. I would imagine there has to be more empriente on the back like with the twice. At least I hope so. I really want to like this bag but I have a feeling I'm going to end up passing on it
