Yes only one of the knobs is functional, yours is normal. Sorry not sure about the soft canvas, I purchased mine Aug.2015 and it seems pretty thick. I did notice the psbb that I just purchased two months ago is an extremely soft pliable canvas.

I got my PM in Nov 2016. Maybe they have changed the quality of the canvas since? Anyone with recent PM able to share?
The canvas on my PM in the reverse monogram is pretty thick and I don't notice any waves. I just bought mine on the 19th of this month so it is fairly new.

but there is something about her strap. The circle ,which should be held the extra strap , is slack . How is yours ? Is this a problem that I have to bring back to the store?

I am in England and I ordered my bag on line. I also have this problem where the strap ring is too slack to hold the strap together when you adjust it. I have spoken with LV and I have returned it as faulty. It is only a small problem but one that could irritate you over time. None of my other LV straps are like this. I did post the problem on here but had no response. I presumed it was a unique fault with my bag but maybe not?I bought a reverse monogram PM. I fall in love her deeply
Oh really , so sorry for that. It seems like a very little problem but in fact not. It is so disturbing for me and yeah none of my lv bags have this problem
I am really curios about LV 's attitude . I dont want to wait so long for the strap when I send it back What did they say you about this? and thanks for reply
I have just returned the whole bag and put my name down for a replacement when one comes available. I only returned it on Wednesday so I am still waiting to hear from them. I took a photo and pointed to the ring in question so there would be no confusion as to what the problem is. I am still eligible for a full refund as the bag was unused and within the returns period. Disappointed though.

Very interesting. I know it's not a major major thing but it's not fit for purpose. When you are paying so much for a bag you expect workable parts. Long term it might cause strap curling.
Same here, the second ring on the strap is too loose and pretty much useless. It does bother me but it´s not a reason for me to return the bag.
Well mines gone back to LV and quality control are going to examine it. I will post any comments they make. Just don't know why it's an issue on this bag as all my other LVs straps are as you would expect.
Some might say I am a bit fussy but if problems don't get reported a fault in production keeps on happening.
