Reading this thread, I checked my Made In France PM, it is in great shape. I got it 2015 November, and used it almost daily without special care, no issues. It seems the issue is with made in US or Italy ones

Not true. The USA production only started a few months go. This bag has had issues since it first came out.a few years ago You are just fortunate not to have any problems.

Both of mine were Made In France. I just chalk it up to a design flaw. It's a lovely looking bag. I do wish it worked out. I miss my first one which was the original model. That one felt like it was made better.

I am so torn. I want the Metis for the longest time. But since I found this thread I am so scared I will waste my hard earned money and get a bag that needs constant repairs. I bought the Speedy b 25 Damier ebene as a substitute...because I had/have bag fever. But still, I can't get the Metis out of my mind. Thinking about buying it next month, but still sooo scared.

Pouchette Metis is a beautiful functional purse and this is my most used bag , if you will buy it purchase it at the store not online and make sure to keep the receipt . The store will send the glazing issue for repair for free in case you will have a problem . ( the glazing on mine was repaired and I do not have a problem to date ) [emoji7]

By the way i think within a year of purchase , LV will shoulder the repair expenses .

Thank you for letting me know. I was thinking about ordering online, because I get kinda nervous in the shops. I feel pressured to buy or at least to quickly inspect the item and make a decision.
But if future repairs will happen and it's easier if the bag was bought in the shop...I will have to suck it up I guess.

I have had no issues getting repairs (without fees based on circumstance) from purchases I made online. It is easiest if you bring it to your Maison store for online purchases.

Hi everyone! I purchased a PM last monthly and noticed this little crack today. It's very small but noticeable, do you think I should take this purse into the store to get it checked out?

I've never had a crack on any of my canvas items, I just want my bag to be perfect and don't know if I'm overreacting..

I'd definitely let them have a look at it! Sorry to say that, but it doesn't look normal and you might still be able to exchange it for a new bag. Maybe you're more relaxed than me; I'd forever stare at an imperfection [emoji15] Good luck [emoji8]

I don't believe there is such a thing as a perfect bag and I don't let a slight imperfectons bother me. HOWEVER, I would return this to the store asap as it looks like a serious issue. That does not look minor and I wouldn't not classify it as normal wear and tear. There is NO way this should be cracking/splitting at the 1 month mark. Not Cool.

Thanks Ladies, I went to the store on my lunch break and 2 SA assured me that it was just where the seam ended and not a crack in the canvas. They did say that if it does bug me they can send it in for a check but I decided to wait a bit to see if it gets worst.

Hi, in all honesty that would totally bug me. I took a pic of my pm, I don't see any areas of the seam exposed like yours. You're right, that doesn't look normal because it isn't. I hope you can get an exchange. Goodluck . [emoji4]

I ordered originally online and got a factory defect but went past the 14 days though I did not use the purse . I almost did not get a refund . Glad I fought for it . Looking at the item and inspecting it at the store in person is the safe way to go and yes the repair is easier . Try to befriend an SA , there are a lot of the nicer ones hehe! I am just talking by experience but now I am on waitlist online for the world tour neverfull since it is out of stock in stores right now . [emoji23]. Just had no choice I guess.
