I haven't had any problems with the glazing of my PM since I bought it about 7 or 8 months ago. However I wanted to share with you what I discovered today while playing with my bandeau.... I think this will help prevent the glazing from pealingView attachment 3331270View attachment 3331271View attachment 3331272
What do yo guys think?

Thanks for this great idea!!! I just bought silk hankies to use on the strap to avoid rubbing but this is another cute option! Glad to be a part of this great community with so many great ideas :)

I'm dropping my bag off to LV this week to have it reglazed. I thought my bag was fine up until a few weeks ago when I discovered the tiniest bit of glazing starting to crack. This is on the original PM model. So, just a heads up that the start of a glazing issue can be as small as the one I found.

So my pochette metis arrived this morning! It came nicely packaged but the strap was already attached to the bag and just put in the dustbag like that? Did anyone else's come like that? I thought they would roll it up and put it inside...
Anyway the bigger problem is I'm not in love with it! Its certainly a nice bag but it hasnt given me the butterfly feeling in my stomach. Has anyone else felt this and later on liked it more? I took out my totally PM just to see as well and I feel completely differently about it, I love my totally. Thinking about returning... Any thoughts/opinions? Thanks

I am using mine today and still no problems for me. I won't use bandeaus or anything with it either. Has anyone else NOT had any problems? I bought it in August and use it frequently, but not every single day.

The thing that bothers me with this bag is "why do you have to alter it with bandeaus and such to keep it from having problems" that's insane to me. The bag should be worn as is without all the cover up..smh

Agree. The glazing problem has existed since 2013. It's the design. The strap clips line up with the glazing. The motion of walking causes the hardware to rub the edges. The original Monceau design had the straps clipped to the top.

That's exactly what I was going to say! I haven't used mine yet but I did play with a bandeau on the top handle and let the ends of it hang over the side of the bag BUT why should we have to do all these things to it so it won't break?! I'm really not sure if I should keep it! I've also noticed that so many are popping up on Ebay and on FB groups now. People are getting rid of them.
You've probable already said but do you still have yours?

If take it back and gets something that makes your hear flutter [emoji178] it's too much money to spend to have a bag you JUST purchased and think.. 'It's okaaay '

No, not anymore I had two, the first one the glazing problem at the corner where the clasp hits the glazing while wearing crossbody...and the second one I left in the hot car and the flap warped. With the second one though I did not wear it crossbody for I didn't want to have that glazing peeling happen again so I wore it over the shoulder but that bothered me cause I enjoyed wearing it crossbody too and I did not want to settle to having to wear this bag certain ways with certain accessories to cover up flaws and such. I like the LV bags as is with an occasional charm and this bag requires none of the above. It's beautiful as is. It makes me so mad cause I really loved this style bag too. I keep reading these posts hoping maybe they rectified the issue but clearly not. It is a design flaw with the clasp/ corner area rubbing the glazing off. If you use it often wearing crossbody it's bound to happen unfortunately...

Agreed! If I'm paying this much for a premium bag, which let's face it, is primarily coated canvas, I expect durability.
