Looks like many people had the same problem of the wonky corner!!! It's does brother me a lot cause it's such my favorite bag but it's not perfect :( however, after I read all the comments it looks like many people also have the peeling off issue too. Need to use carefully from now hahha

If you wear it over the shoulder the hardware doesn't hit the corner but you should have the option of wearing it crossbody. Shame

So upon doing a lot of research on the forum I wasn't sure if the glazing was peeling due to bending of the flap or was it the hardware rubbing against it but something inside of me was thinking that it's definitely probably the hardware. So to test it, I decided to find a soft material to surround the hardware. I was thinking something like velvet but with velvet you can see the stitches so I decided to go with fleece since its more forgiving with seams and its good at hiding stitches. I tried to choose the best matching shade of brown fleece since there's no such thing as gold fleece lol. I pretty much wrapped it around the lobster clasp and sewed around it from top to bottom on one side. Kind of like making a clochette bell for the lobster clasp. I started sewing from the top, sew it tighter at the swivel part and a little looser as you sew along the clasp. I made sure to make the bell/protector at least 1 mm past the clasp. Since fleece is stretchy you can remove it and put the protectors on and off as you like. I just leave mines on. Also its very easy to hook and unhook the clasp if you decide not to use the strap. I know it looks UGLY but when you actually wear the pm its somewhat subtle at least imo lol. Ive been wearing my pm everyday to class and to run errands for 3 weeks straight! And my classes are pretty far from where i park so you can imagine all the rubbing and friction it takes. Fyi I always wear my pm crossbody too which i heard is also what contributes to the peeling. Although nothing has happened yet i still want to continue for another two weeks to make sure that indeed it is actually protecting the glazing from the hardware.

Yeah, it is a shame! Since it IS made to be a crossbody, after all. I have a bad neck/shoulder on one side so I'm only planning to wear it as a crossbody. Plus, the strap is too long to wear over just one shoulder. Ahhhh, I live this bag but seriously considering just returning it. :(

Buy a shorter strap to use with it. I actually use my Melie vachetta strap with it as I do wear on the shoulder. Not much of a cross body girl. It's interesting if the strap is what causes the peeling of the glazing. I have also ordered the strap from the Montaigne BB because it is more comfortable cross body so I'll have to see how that one rubs once I receive. So sad some ladies are having issue with such a great bag.

That's the thing. I don't want another shoulder bag as it's too hard on my neck.
Do you have the original version? Use it every day? I heard one YouTuber say that when she gets a new bag, she uses it every day. That way, if something goes wrong with it, she can take it in to the store sooner for repairs or exchanges.

No I have the new version only a week old. No this will not be an everyday bag for me as I rotate my bags daily and usually during the week I use my big bags as I carry much more. Unless traveling then my smaller bags come in handy but again I even rotate those while on business. Not to worried about LV taking care of me even is something happens to that bag six months from now. I suppose we will have to to see how it goes. Not everyone has the issue with the bag while others do. Like I said above further it is a hit or miss with this bag. And the truth of the matter is - a lot of LV bags are just not made for every day use or taking certain places. I know that's bad to say but it is the truth. Then there are those LV bags that are great for daily use and can take the usage very well! I mean I literally go to work, business lunches and home. If traveling business dinners then hotel. Of course I go to parties and such but there are bags for those times. Does that make sense?

Yes! It makes total sense! I'm not hard on my bags at all so that's a good thing. Maybe I wouldn't worry so much if I had a regular SA. Since I live in a state with no store, I just buy off the website so if something went wrong with it, I don't think there's much I could do.. Would you mind posting a picture of yours? I'd like to see your corners :p
