So, I finally joined the PM club with a monogram reverse canvas and when it finally arrived the buckle on the front was visibly crooked which caused the flap to sit really weird. I thought I was being nit picky but my husband was like “why is that buckle all crooked?”

So, if he noticed it must have been bad...

I exchanged it for a PM Empreinte in Marine Rouge but I have to say, even though the Empreinte version hasn’t even arrived, I’m having some regrets. I really love the reverse canvas

All of that leads to my question here...

What do you prefer when it comes to the PM style? Empreinte or Canvas? Why?

I like both and have a monogram and empreinte noir. I LOVE my empreinte. The leather feels so nice and wears really well. It's durable and carefree IMO. use mine daily, 5 days of the week and use my monogram pm on weekends.

they really are so different aren’t they??Even though they are the same style I feel like they look and wear so differently!

I do like the carefree aspect of the Empreinte.

I bought the canvas and sent it back. I love how it looks on other people but for me, I just didn't love it. When I saw the turtledove, I knew that was the one! I'm not sure why but I just like that one better on me. You will know when u try it on!

I had similar problem with Soeedy B after one use I discovered the problem within a month, probably the problem was there when I purchased, but did not discovered earlier. However I had trouble to return or exchange to the point I had to write a formal complaint.

I hope you ended up getting resolution? I also hope that doesn't happen for me, but I will pursue it, since it's a new bag and it's not cheap. I love the bag so I hope they make it right.

That’s a good point!! It sounds crazy to some but I believe bags speak to us!

turtledove is BEAUTIFUL! I wanted that beautiful neutral BUT I was fearful because I wear a lot of dark denim.

I'm glad you know what I mean! There's a feeling you get when you put it on and it's "the one"! It is so beautiful! I haven't had any color transfer yet, but it's winter here and the bag is usually against my coat. We'll see.... Good luck with yours! You will know right away if it's right. Otherwise exchange it and make sure you get exactly what you want!

I originally purchased the reverse then returned it. Then a few months later purchased noir.. Fell in love but had to send it in for repairs and decided I couldn't be without so I re-purchased the reverse to have while my noir was away. I love them both and wear them regularly. I would recommend having both, because there are times when you may want to be little more understated and others when you don't. I find both are very easy to wear and style, I'm a casual dresser so they both work well. I think you'll find you'll end up with both, just depends on which one you want to start with.

My clasp was difficult to open, I thought it would get better with time but it didn't, it would get stuck.. So they replaced the clasp with a new one and it works great!

Does anyone know if prior colors are still available to purchase from LV? There was a parchment color prior to turtle dove that really spoke to me. I don’t have an SA who can look it up and wondered if anyone had experience with some still being available from prior colors?

My first POCHETTE MÉTIS in Monogram Empreinte Leather. I would like to buy BANDOULIÈRE shoulder strap to pair it together for more information look. Anyone here have pictures to model it together? I would like to see how it looks before I buy BANDOULIÈRE shoulder strap, do you think it would complete each other?

Yes, definitely! I use my Bandouliere strap with my PM Noir all the time. I think they go great together. And you can mix your SLGs and still be matchy matchy, if that’s what you’re into. Here are some photos. Hope it helps!

This is exactly what I’m wondering too!

I have both and use my noir more. I think it’s just because I tend to match my bags with what I’m wearing, and it’s easier to just pickup a black bag to match with my outfits. The turtledove is a beautiful color that changes depending on the light, and I will use it when the right outfit calls for it. No color transfer issues with the turtledove so far, but I’ve only had it for a year, and it’s a pandemic year where bags are being used less in general so it’s hard to evaluate. It’s hard to choose between the two—I couldn’t obviously—but I don’t think you can ever go wrong with a black bag.
