Good luck. Keep us posted!

Thank you everyone who provided information on the repair here. After waiting for a month, LV called and said the bag is repaired and ready for pickup!

I was told that the bag was sent to the US for repair.

Yay! New and shiny slider and the zipper is working again!

For future reference this is the repair description and it’s free of charge!

This experience is very positive for me, knowing that LV will stand behind their product and repair it as best as they can is so important for me. I was worried they won’t repair it due to the age of the bag and there’s a slight crack on the canvas near where the D ring is.

It is also interesting to see that they seem to be able to trace back the purchase date of the bag (Oct 11, 2003)!!!

Did they not fix or replace it for you? If not, has it gotten any worse?
Sorry for the super late response, I took a look at the other ones they had in stock and I just exhanged it for the neatest (still not quite perfect) stitching in that particular area. Its like half an inch from the bottom edge of the wallet where the stitch the inner folds to the outer canvas

I bought my mono PA in 2004 and I've pretty much used it everyday, either as a stand-alone or inside my bigger bags. I've had to repair the zipper and my short strap finally broke a few months ago and just received the replacement. $60. When I bought it, it was less than $300 I think. Best $300 ever spent. When I went to the boutique to order the strap, I thought maybe this one should be retired but apparently these are so hard to find, I guess I've been living under a rock.. Anyway, love it so much and I am going to buy another one as soon as one becomes available before this one actually dies. Crossing my fingers.
