Hi!
My boyfriend bought me my first Pandora with 3 charms along. Each of them was something related to us, so I have continued with that design idea and now I have a Pandora bracelet that really is a reflection of our dreams, wishes and love and I like it very much. Also, I agree, it is really hard to stop at just one bracelet and each new charm makes you want more of new bracelets.

Hey girls. I changed out the diamond daisy for the he loves me charm. I want your guys' opinion. I'm waiting for more two tone charms to come out so I can fill it. But I chose the flower because it's special for me and my boyfriend. It symbolizes our flower, it's a crocus. It grows in my house all year round, it signifies that no matter what we can stay strong. Also reminds me to be strong in general. :) it's expensive. But I want to put a lot into my these charms and their meanings. View attachment 2462516

I think your bracelet will look lovely however you arrange it. Don't put too much emphasis on other peoples opinions. Go with what you love.

Hey ladies I got some new charms today as a gift from my aunt :)

Thank you! She wanted to buy me so many charms but these were the best. The reason why I have the turtle is because my paternal side of the family is Native American and African American. We love turtles because in Native American symbolism, turtles represent long life :).

Wow! I am so saddened by the disparaging remarks that have been made regarding the pretzel charm (meant to commemorate a trip to Germany or New York) and the wishbone charm (titled "make a wish"). It's one thing to tell the community that there is a collection of beads that you aren't attracted to, but it is another to make people feel embarrassed and uncomfortable because they have chosen or been gifted those beads.

There are beads on my bracelets that you may not enjoy (I have neither the pretzel nor the wishbone). I know there are beads on others bracelets that aren't my favorites (including my own mother's collection :smile1:), but we don't have to be mean.

Pandora is obviously making a change from beads that encourage symbolism to beads that are intended to be an actual object. We don't have to like them all. If you don't like them, don't buy them. Please don't be mean to others who love them. When we get new beads we are excited to share them on a forum where we all have a common love of things Pandora. It's not fun when there is so much negativity.

That's just my opinion. To each their own… And I fully understand that by adding my two cents to this matter I am opening myself up to negative comments made by others. It's okay. I'm tough!:shame:
Yeah you are right, but I don't think people are being mean on here. It's all said in jest and sometimes on an email or text or in writing, it doesn't always come across that way. However the opinions of the others are still their opinion, as you have yours. I am sure there are people who love the pretzel and wishbone, and others who may dislike what we have on ours, but sometimes, people shouldn't be offended by these remarks, as they aren't meant to offend. Sometimes you don't like certain charms, and sometimes we don't like certain charms, but you mustn't take it to heart. We are joking and it's a shame that's how you feel, but of course you are entitled to feel however you want. You say don't make people feel bad by making fun of these charms which they may like or have, but equally with your comments, you are making those people who have made negative comments (about the pretzel and wishbone) feel bad now. Don't be saddened by these comments. Lets just forget it and move on.:smile1:

Aw we're just having fun! No offense intended, of course each symbol is open for interpretation, that's the fun of charms! I think just taking the object out of context and seeing the thing for what it is on the surface is funny.
Sorry we sounded meaner than intended, I know I was just having fun at the designers' expense, not the collectors! Luckily each bracelet is more special than the sum of its parts ;)
I totally agree. It was all meant in fun and nobody would purposely intend to make others feel crap about their choices. Sometimes we have a laugh about things and like you say, it's how the individual interprets it. As long as the wearer of those charms are happy, that's all that matters. We haven't hurt anybody, we need to put it into context. We don't often see pretzel charms which is why we thought it was funny. I actually don't mind the wishbone charm but I wouldn't be offended by comments saying it was terrible. It's just a bit of fun.:smile1:

Oh dear looks like I've been a naughty girl!. Seriously it has never been my intention to offend let alone on a personal level. I am sorry if this has happened. Please let me defend myself. My detest for the wish bone charm was borne from the fact I thought it was a pair of pliers! and was merely highlighting and questioning pandoras designers and the randomness of objects that they were doing. But then the grey matter or lack of it got the better of me and got carried away. The error I made in the short time i have participated on this thread ( about 2 weeks). was that I had treated the ladies on here like my friends and collegues. The informal me came out the too much, the tongue and cheek sense of humour gets me in trouble! In hindsight I should have been a bit more intelligent and realise these ladies on here don't know me as much as I don't know them and that my comments can and will offend and that I should not assume they know i am joking. Going forward with this matter I think I should really do the right thing and ban myself from contributing as it was never my intention to have caused such negativity and unhappiness on here which I clearly have. I don't want ladies to feel uncomfortable or that they can not part take because they have "those charms" because they feel embarrassed. I hope by me going it will restore some harmony at least and, carry on the good work that has already been achieved. I have enjoyed my short lived time here immensely very thought provoking topics and lovely pics displayed. I have met some lovely ladies I go with a heavy heart. But I think is for the best. Love and best wishes to you all 

Don't be silly! We just had a laugh. We love seeing your bracelets and reading your comments. Don't desert us - I was a naughty girl too!

NOOO Missydora don't go! Don't let the overreaction of one prevent you from participating! I've loved hearing from you, and this forum only works because of all the contributions, whether every reader approves of them or not.
You are so right. It's a forum so it's open to debate. You are going to get comments good and bad. It would be sad to lose anyone on here.
